The NAP returns in written form after enjoying a couple of days working from Goodwood. We have already seen a fantastic feast of racing from the Sussex venue and the action continues there today with the group one Nassau Stakes. Elsewhere, Galway continues its week long party with the Galway Hurdle the highlight of today’s card. We also have flat racing at Nottingham and Epsom plus the racing league heads to Wolverhampton tonight.
Nap Of The Day
The Gordon Stakes at 3pm should be an interesting contest where the lightly raced Jan Brueghel goes up in trip for Aidan O’Brein. This twice raced son of Galileo is around even money and I expect him to make his mark at Goodwood before a look at potentially the St Leger where he is a 6/1 shot currently. Connections were pleased with the win last time out in softer than ideal conditions and a return to a quicker surface should only help him to improve and make it three wins in a row for a team that have already had success at Goodwood with week.
