A busy Saturday as per normal, this really is one of the last chances to book your horse a ticket to the Festival with a good effort required today. Jumps fans will have their eyes fixed to Ascot, Haydock, Wincanton and Gowran Park. All Weather action takes place at Wolverhampton and Newcastle.
Nap Of The Day
The classiest race of the day is the Ascot Chase, just four go to post but at least three are what I consider household jumps names. Ahoy Senor displayed a more positive effort last time out at Cheltenham before a freak issue with the tack four out hampered his chances of being involved in the finish. Pic D’Orhy is a horse who likes it at Ascot having won twice on his two runs at the track. It is however L’Homme Presse who will be my NAP and at time of writing has eased to a nice price. It was fair to say the return to form at Lingfield was impressive after such a long break, it is curious that at a time when most would wait for Cheltenham connections are keen to press on and get another effort in prior to the Gold Cup. He I think will back up that effort in style here. He was one of several horses discussed on the BetVictor sponsored tipping show Weekend Winners.
