NAP of the Day – Monday 4th March

NAP of the Day

The Cheltenham Festival edges ever closer, today we have jumps cards at Leopardstown, Southwell and Plumpton whilst all weather fans focus is at Wolverhampton later today.

Nap Of The Day

We go to Southwell for the nap today as the two title chasing jockeys go head to head on Rickety Bridge and Long Draw. Sean Bowen who rides Long Draw said earlier this week he may have to ride elsewhere in Festival week to keep his title hopes alive. In truth it is already looking tough for Bowen, the key reason Cobden has to be a short priced favourite is the fact that Paul Nicholls continues to have such depths to his ranks.

Rickety Bridge is a prime example to this, making his hurdles debut today this horse who won a three mile point to point is bound to be more at home over obstacles than his three bumper starts for the yard so far. Whilst he didn’t win a bumper he has shown a fair level of form and this looks a great starting point for the five year old by Affnisea to get off the mark under rules.
