Arguably one of the best weeks in racing gets underway as the annual Galway/Goodwood mid Summer highlight starts just at the Irish venue today before Goodwood joins the party on Tuesday. We also have cards at Ayr and Windsor on the flat plus all weather action at Southwell and Wolverhampton.
Nap Of The Day
Despite a lengthy look at the Galway card I couldn’t find much at the prices I wanted to put up, I will at least be watching the 4.50 as Sysko makes his debut for the Mullins team who seem to unleash good hurdle prospects all year round now!
The Nap is going to come at Windsor which should draw a good crowd given the warm weather. That weather has led to good to firm ground which should be perfect for Delicacy in the 7.40 to finally score a win. This filly has gone well on her last three starts at around a mile and ran a cracker when second here in May. Only two pounds higher than that day she has run well since at Nottingham and Salisbury. I think today with Tom Marquand on board Richard Hannon’s three year old can finally break her maiden.
