After a sensational weekend of flat racing we are slightly back down to earth with flat cards at Thirsk and Windsor on turf, all weather action at Kempton, a jumps fixture at Worcester and finally the annual racing on the beach takes place at Laytown today which features on many peoples racing bucket lists.
I have been lucky enough to go once and it’s an experience I can highly recommend.
Daily Nap
We are going to head up north to Thirsk for the nap which runs in the seven furlong novice, Local Lad is anything but having travelled over from Ireland and sets a very good standard. We haven’t seen him since a very promising debut at the Curragh when fourth over six furlongs in a group three. Up in distance slightly today should be no issue and from those that have run I am not too concerned. Karl Burkes nicely bred newcomer Regal Agenda is a danger but Local Lad I think will reward connections for their visit from Ireland.
