NAP of the Day – Monday 15th July

Well football didn’t come home and the now poorly titled ‘Well Done England Euro Champions 2024 Handicap Chase’ at Newton Abbot is not only sadly inaccurate but also off after the west country track saw large amounts of rain.

We still have fixtures today at Downpatrick over jumps, Flat turf cards at Ayr, Killarney and Windsor plus an all weather meeting at Wolverhampton.

Nap Of The Day

The Simon and Ed Crisford team are in fine form currently with a strike rate just shy of 30% in the last two weeks. Whilst Vandeek was only third in the July Cup on Saturday Quddwah was a good winner of the Summer Mile at Ascot. I think that Mezzo Soprano can give the duo another winner at Windsor later in the six-furlong handicap at 7.20.

This four-year-old filly had a perfect season at two with three wins from her three starts including on soft at Thirsk. If Windsor should get some rain to change the going, she is able to handle that, her seasonal reappearance was a good effort over seven furlongs, I expect her to have improved for that run and off 84 she can get back to winning ways at Windsor tonight.
