After the weather starved us of jumping action, we thankfully have action over the sticks at Haydock and Ludlow with Kempton, Lingfield and Dundalk all hosting all-weather cards.
The NAP comes from Ludlow, where Venetia Williams has continued her purple patch in recent weeks, and Laskalin her top weight, can go well here. Now dropped to a mark of 131 after his seasonal return, this course and distance winner took this contest 12 months ago, only a few pounds lower. I expect a bold front running effort in his attempt to land back-to-back renewals.

Nicky Henderson is hoping the rain stays away. Heavy in the going is sure to be decisive in his decision to run, as his mind will be on the now shorter turnaround time before the Christmas hurdle at Kempton on Boxing Day.
The weekend is building towards a blockbuster for racing fans, with brilliant action across two days. From the Tingle Creek, to that rearranged Fighting Fifth, we have great racing away from Sandown too, with the Becher Chase at Aintree, some decent stuff likely at Navan and the Welsh Grand National trial at Chepstow.
