I don’t often pick players who were on the losing side, but Vicario was the best keeper I saw this weekend. I’ll be honest, I thought Spurs were poor and if it wasn’t for this lad, they’d have lost by two or three against Chelsea. He was comfortably their best player.
Bradley got the nod for Liverpool at right-back and had an excellent game against Villa. There’s been a bit of uncertainty in this position this season, but you watch this lad and you think this position should be his to lose. He’s a very good prospect.
Jan Paul van Hecke cruised the game against Leeds. He’s having another good season for Brighton and is probably one of the best in the league. He’s aggressive, dominant in the air and very comfortable with the ball at his feet.
Murillo had a game for Forest in what was a very entertaining clash. He’s a very good centre-half, and I like the balance of his pairing with Milenkovic alongside him. United posed a lot of attacking threat but he defended well and made a crucial clearance late on to save the point.
I do like young O’Reilly at City, he impresses me every time I see him. He’s so composed and the best compliment I can give him is that it looks like he’s been in the side for years. Getting on the scoresheet should give him a real boost going forward as well.
Gravenberch is without question one of Liverpool’s most important players. You could argue this lad has probably been their best player this season. He was back in the side after a few games out and picked up where he left off, running the show in the centre of the park. He’s starting to add a few goals to his game and if he keeps doing that, what a player he’ll be.
I do like Caicedo a lot, I thought he was magnificent against Spurs. Not many get the better of him and his attitude and desire to win the ball back is just brilliant. The goal summed him up; he won it back twice! A top, top player.
Paqueta’s a little bit inconsistent for my liking, but there’s no denying what a talented player he is. He was top class for the Hammers in that vital win against Newcastle, what a classy player he is. He lashed in that equaliser and was such a threat throughout. When he plays like this you wonder how West Ham struggle as much as they do.
Gomez had an excellent game for Brighton and looks a good prospect. We’ve seen glimpses of this lad without having a real run in the team. One thing’s for certain; he’s got a real eye for goal. He’s definitely one to watch moving forward.
Amad Diallo is going in my side. I’m still not sure this position suits him or really gets the best out of him but there’s no doubt about it, what a threat he is. He took that goal brilliantly against Forest.
Another week, another Haaland inclusion. Even by his quite ridiculous standards, this lad is in such great form. Don’t get me wrong, I think Bournemouth’s high line was crazy and the last thing you should do against him. His pace, power and finishing is just amazing and he’s looking unstoppable right now. He’s my star man yet again.
Manager: It has to be Nuno, what a massive result that was for West Ham for him. Boy did they need that. Hopefully they can build on that result and move forward.
