Harry Redknapp’s Premier League Week 4 Preview

Harry Redknapp Premier League Preview

Arsenal 2-1 Forest

Wow, what an interesting game this will be. Let’s start with Arsenal. They weren’t great at Anfield the other week and again showed a real lack of attacking threat in these big away games. That being said, they always look so dominant at home.

As for Forest, big Ange is back. I feel terrible for Nuno, that fella did such a top job here and I have no idea what’s gone so badly wrong behind the scenes. It’s good to see Ange back in the league though and one thing’s for certain; Forest will be one to watch rightly or wrongly!

I’m going for the home win. 2-1.

One to watch: Madueke really caught the eye for England during the week, he’s having a good start to the season.

Bournemouth 2-1 Brighton

A tough one to predict, two very even sides. I like what I’ve seen from Bournemouth again this season, and the last time we saw them they were winning at Spurs. Another win here and I would view this as a fantastic start considering all the summer changes.

Brighton were excellent in that second half against City and you’ve got to say, they probably deserved that win. I felt like they needed that win, just to give the squad a lift after a slow start to the campaign.

I’m sure we’ll see goals, plenty of good football. I’m going for Bournemouth though.

One to watch: Semenyo has probably been Bournemouth’s best player this season.

Palace 2-0 Sunderland

Palace have been on-fire of late, I’ve been so impressed by them and the job that Glasner keeps doing. I thought they were brilliant away to Villa and I can see them having another great season.

Sunderland have obviously had a couple of great home wins, but I do worry about them on the road. They’d love even a point here, but I can’t see it.

2-0 Palace.

One to watch: It’s not often I pick a centre-half, but it’s got to be Guehi. This lad has been in amazing form and all eyes will be on how he performs after not getting that big move. He seems a brilliant guy though and I think he’ll bounce back.

Everton 2-1 Villa

I’ve been so impressed by Everton this season, they seem to be playing with so much swagger and confidence. This new place already feels like home and that doesn’t always happen in these new stadiums.

Villa have started slowly and there’s bound to be some concern about that. They made a couple of signings at the end of the window though and I’m curious how Sancho and Elliott settle in. I always liked Harvey Elliott and can see the lad doing well here.

I’m leaning towards Everton.

One to watch: Jack Grealish has been getting a lot of the plaudits, but what a good player Ndiaye is. He’s a class act in this side.

Fulham 1-0 Leeds

Marco Silva was absolutely livid after that away defeat to Chelsea, and I don’t blame him one bit! I think Fulham will be bang up for this, and they tend to take care of business at home against the sides they perhaps should be beating.

It’s been a decent enough start for Leeds but I still have the same worry about them, where will the goals come from?

I don’t see a thriller here, far from it. 1-0 to Fulham.

One to watch: Young Josh King has been a revelation for Fulham and really caught the eye. He was very unlucky to not get his first goal away at Chelsea, it might come here though.

Newcastle 2-0 Wolves

I’ll be very interested to see Newcastle moving forward. Isak’s gone and I’ll be honest, that always looked like the most likely outcome. They’ve invested a lot of that money though, so it’s up to the new lads to hit the ground running.

I’m worried about Wolves. They’ve lost some good players this summer and have replaced them with some unknown quantities.

This should be a comfortable home win.

One to watch: Woltemade has arrived for huge money and he looks like an interesting player. He’s an absolutely massive lad but he’s got silky feet, almost like a German Crouchie!

West Ham 1-2 Spurs

What a massive win that was for West Ham at Forest, and for Potter. I think he was under real pressure had they lost but what a performance that was! I just hope they can build on this.

I was shocked Spurs lost at home to Bournemouth, I didn’t see that coming at all. It’s been such a great start to the season for them and that dampens it just a little bit.

I think this will be an even game; these London derbies always are. I think Spurs edge it though.

One to watch: It’s got to be Kudus here, he’s been fantastic for Spurs so far and I don’t think he left West Ham on the best of terms.

Brentford 1-3 Chelsea

An interesting game here, I’m not quite sure what we’ll get from Brentford. They’ve struggled a bit on the road, but they did beat Villa at home and last year, they were fantastic at home all season. I think they’ll cause Chelsea a few problems.

I’ve got to be honest, I still don’t quite know what to make of Chelsea so far. Points wise, it’s been a good start to the season, but I can’t say I’ve been blown away by them.

I think we’ll see an entertaining game but I think Chelsea score a few.

One to watch: Joao Pedro has probably been Chelsea’s main man this season, he looks like he’s been in the side for years.

Burnley 0-2 Liverpool

A massive test for Burnley here. I’ve got big worries about them this season, I just don’t see how they’ll threaten these top sides. That being said, they were a bit unlucky away at Old Trafford last time out.

I think Arne Slot would be the first to say that Liverpool have been far from at their best so far this season. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing though, it’s a sign of what a top side they are and that Arsenal game summed them up. What a free-kick that was from Szoboszlai!

I can only see a routine Liverpool win here.

One to watch: It’s got to be Isak. I’m not quite sure whether he will start in this one but he did play for Sweden during the week.

Man City 3-1 Man Utd

What a game this should be and I’ll be honest, I’m not quite sure what to expect! City have been all over the place in the last couple of games, I just didn’t see that coming. I do expect a big response from Pep’s side here though but defensively; Pep must have big concerns about his side.

As for United, they got that dramatic win over Burnley but was that just papering over the cracks? Only time will tell I suppose. I do like the way United attack and I think Cunha and Mbeumo have really settled in well and look such a threat.

I’m going for City to win 3-1 but it’s so hard to predict those two sides right now!

One to watch: It’s got to be Haaland. He scored five and created two more for Norway the other night so it’s safe to say the lad is in good form!
