Harry Redknapp’s Premier League Weekend Preview: Week 14

Harry Redknapp Premier League Preview

Chelsea 2-1 Everton

I can see a good game in this one. I don’t quite know what Chelsea side we’ll see here, they’ve not impressed in their last two on the road. Obviously, they’re back at home here so I think we should see an improvement.

As for Everton, it’s all going so well for them and for David Moyes. That’s them up to seventh in the league now and honestly, they could actually be higher in the league.

I think Chelsea just edge this but I don’t see much in it.

Redknapp’s one to watch: I keep waiting for Cole Palmer to find his best form after what’s been a frustrating season for the lad.

Liverpool 2-2 Brighton

This will be fascinating. Who knows what to expect from Liverpool in their current state. I’ll come to the Salah situation in a minute but defensively, they just look all over the place.

Brighton are another side that are being let down by their inconsistency. When Brighton are on it and things are clicking, they can give any side in the league a game. They won’t fear Liverpool here though that’s for sure.

I can see a high-scoring draw.

Redknapp’s one to watch: Rightly or wrongly, it’s Mo Salah! Who knows if he’ll feature but it’s a sad situation that one of the league’s all-time greats could end up leaving in such a messy way.

Burnley 0-1 Fulham

Another week and another loss for Burnley. They’ve had some tricky fixtures but I do worry about the morale of these lads even this early into the season.

That late defeat to Palace was a real blow to a Fulham side that had been playing very well. It’s important that they bounce back here.

I’m going for Fulham, just.

Redknapp’s one to watch: Harry Wilson seems to be getting better and better each week, and he keeps scoring better goals each week!

Arsenal 4-0 Wolves

I don’t think that defeat to Villa was disastrous for Arsenal. To lose at Villa Park is never a bad result and with the quality of the league now, nobody can avoid defeats. Talk about the ideal opponent here.

Wolves just look like a mess, on and off the pitch. I feel for those fans, they seem so fed up already.

A very comfortable day at the office for the Arsenal here.

Redknapp’s one to watch: People remain quite divided on Gyokeres, but this is the sort of game he’ll fancy a few in.

Crystal Palace 1-2 Man City

Palace keep getting the job done, I’m so impressed by them. They don’t score loads but they’re so hard to beat and they’ve got so much belief in the side.

It’s been an important few weeks for City, they seem to be clicking into gear. Foden getting back to form is helping, they looked far too reliant on the main man up top.

I’m going for a City win, but it will be a very even game.

Redknapp’s one to watch: Foden can’t stop scoring all of a sudden! From an England perspective, it’s great to see.

Sunderland 2-2 Newcastle

Here we go, one of the great rivalries in English football. This will be amazing. Who’d have thought at the start of the season that Sunderland would go into this above Newcastle, but what a start it’s been.

I do think Newcastle are another side that are beginning to find their best form. This is the sort of game that form goes out the window though!

Surely we see plenty of action and plenty of goals! 2-2.

Redknapp’s one to watch: These are the sort of games that Xhaka was brought in for. The battle in the middle of the park between him and Bruno Guimaraes should be a good one.

Forest 1-1 Spurs

Sean Dyche was disappointed with the result and performance at Everton last week. That was out of character for Forest of late, they’ve looked good.

Boy did Spurs need that win over Brentford, they were having such a tricky month. This will be a real test of them though.

I’m picking the draw.

Redknapp’s one to watch: Elliot Anderson is having the best season of his career, and this is the sort of game he can make a real impact in. Ironically, he’s the sort of player Spurs could do with in midfield.

West Ham 0-2 Villa

That was almost a great win for the Hammers down at Brighton. I’ll be honest, I don’t think West Ham have been playing all that well, but they’re definitely harder to beat and they’re at least getting some needed points.

Villa are flying, what a moment that was for them and for Unai Emery last week. Nobody’s really talking about them in terms of the title race, but if they keep winning then why not?

I have to pick Villa given their form.

Redknapp’s one to watch: I thought Rogers had some sensational touches last week against Arsenal. He’s in great form.

Brentford 2-1 Leeds

Brentford are a totally different team on the road. I know it was Spurs and Arsenal, but Keith Andrews will be disappointed that they didn’t really lay a glove on them. I expect a big response here though.

It’s been a great two weeks for Leeds. They really needed to kickstart the season and that should give them some real confidence.

Brentford have beaten some big sides at home already this season, I think they’ll get the job done here.

Redknapp’s one to watch: Kayode’s long throws have been amazing and we’ve already seen Brentford score a few goals from them!

Man Utd 2-2 Bournemouth

We finish with what could be a good one. United slowly but surely, have climbed up that table. They’ve disappointed in their last two at home though, that loss to Everton and draw to West Ham. Bournemouth will go here with confidence.

It’s been a tough spell for them though. I can’t really put my finger on what’s gone wrong for them but I just think they need a good result to get them back on track.

I’m certain we’ll see goals here, it’s just the way Bournemouth play. 2-2!

Redknapp’s one to watch: Bruno Fernandes was brilliant away at Wolves on Monday. I know people will say “oh it’s only Wolves” but some of his passing was so classy!
