NAP of the Day – Thursday 15th February

NAP of the Day

We have action across a somewhat damp UK at Sandown, Leicester and Newcastle over jumps, whilst we have two all-weather cards at Southwell and Chelmsford, with Clonmel hosting action in Ireland providing it survives the weather.

NAP of the Day

Sandown has a decent day even with small fields. The grade two Jane Seymour is the highlight on the seven-race card, I am keen to back Farceur Du Large to follow up his Grand Military win here last month.

Jamie Snowden was delighted to finally win the race that has alluded him as a trainer for many years( having won it several times as a rider). His runner here has to carry a five-pound penalty for that success, but has just four rivals to beat.

Broken Halo just can’t be trusted for me, with form figures of F,P,U for his last three runs. At the weights, Laskalin has a bit to find, whilst Champagne Court and Fil D’Ariane look outsiders to my eye. Major Will Kellard gave the horse a strong and composed ride last time out, and providing he can do the same again, he should land the Royal Artillery Gold Cup in ground conditions which will prove challenging for his rivals.
