Premier League Top Scorer Odds: Can Igor Thiago Beat Erling Haaland To The Golden Boot?

Having been a relative unknown at the start of the campaign, the Premier League top scorer odds have been slashed on Igor Thiago. The brilliant Brazilian scored his 20th and 21st goals of the season during Brentford’s 2-2 draw against Everton on MD32.

Not only has Thiago dazzled this term, his efforts have been rewarded with a call-up to Brazil’s international squad. He made his debut in March’s friendlies and even netted in the 3-1 win over Croatia. As impressive as he has been, Thiago has been given World Cup top scorer odds of 33/1.

His inclusion in Carlo Ancelotti’s side for the North America extravaganza looks a given. And his seat on the plane will be nigh-on impossible to give up. Especially if he can do what many considered impossible a few weeks back; outscore Erling Haaland and land the Premier League Golden Boot.

Premier League Top Scorer Odds: Igor Thiago 7/2

Igor Thiago is currently priced at 7/2 in BetVictor’s Premier League top scorer odds market. In what is his first full season in England’s elite, his remarkable return is truly impressive. He has scored a total of five braces and even registered his first hat-trick in the 4-1 win over Everton on MD20.

As it stands, he is just one goal shy of Erling Haaland’s tally of 22. Interestingly, the Norwegian superstar has scored just three Premier League goals since the turn of the year. His barren spell has let Thiago in with a chance of securing the Golden Boot in his full maiden campaign with Brentford.

Igor Thiago And Erling Haaland’s Remaining Fixtures

With just six matchdays of the 2025-26 Premier League season to go, the race for the Golden Boot could go right down to the wire. But who will Igor Thiago and Erling Haaland face during the business end of the campaign?

Igor Thiago’s remaining fixtures:

  • Fulham (H) – 18/04/2026
  • Man Utd (A) – 27/04/2026
  • West Ham (H) – 02/05/2026
  • Man City (A) – 09/05/2026
  • Crystal Palace (H) – 17/05/2026
  • Liverpool (A) – 24/05/2026

Erling Haaland’s remaining fixtures:

  • Arsenal (H) – 19/04/2026
  • Burnley (A) – 22/04/2026
  • Everton (A) – 04/05/2026
  • Brentford (H) – 09/05/2026
  • Bournemouth (A) – 17/05/2026
  • Crystal Palace (H) – 22/05/2026
  • Aston Villa (H) – 24/05/2026

Erling Haaland Is 1/5 To Win The Golden Boot

Despite his goal drought in 2026, Erling Haaland’s exploits at the start of the campaign means he is still favoured to win the 2025-26 Golden Boot. The Man City star is currently 1/5 and with the Cityzens boasting a game-in-hand over Brentford, that could be enough to allow him to stay ahead of Igor Thiago.

On paper, Haaland’s fixtures look more favourable to Thiago’s which is another factor as to why he is still the heavy odds-on favourite. It won’t be a straight-forward gig, though. His Brazilian rival is breathing down his neck and it does promise to be a fascinating battle that could go down to the last day of the season.
