Roefs has been such a great signing for Sunderland and has been one of the league’s best keepers this season, no question. He didn’t have loads to do against Newcastle, but he dealt with everything that came his way and was such a dominant presence dealing with crosses and set-pieces.
Gusto had a great game against Everton. He scored one, created another and kept a clean sheet, you can’t do much better than that as a right-back! He seems to be getting better and better under Maresca.
Struijk was very solid at the back for Leeds at Brentford. Going to Brentford isn’t easy, plenty of top sides have struggled, but this lad was magnificent and headed away every ball. It’s been a great few weeks for Leeds.
I do like Bassey at Fulham, what an athlete the boy is. He’s always had so much potential and this year; it looks like his game has gone up another level. He’s going to be a huge loss when he goes away with Nigeria.
Neco Williams impresses me most of the time I watch Forest, he had another great game against Spurs. The lad has fantastic energy, and he’s constantly up and down that left side. He was a real threat too, creating a few chances.
Harry Wilson’s back in the side again, this lad is on fire! He set up the first couple of goals and then stroked home that lovely finish for the third against Burnley. I don’t see many players in the league that are playing better than Wilson, he oozes class and quality.
Speaking of players in brilliant, Morgan Rogers is my player of the week. It’s no coincidence that Villa have been winning so many games when they have this lad playing like this. The quality of his two goals was excellent but his all-around game is just so impressive.
Sangare was magnificent for Forest, dominating that midfield battle against Spurs. He set up two goals before getting a deserved goal. He’s another lad that will be a huge miss when he goes to AFCON.
Hudson-Odoi is developing into the player that a lot of people thought he could be one he broke through at Chelsea. He’s been terrific for Forest over the last season or so and was the difference against Spurs. He’s still a young lad and I hope he can push on and show more of his talent.
Ekitike’s been Liverpool’s best forward this season, without a doubt. With all the uncertainty surrounding Salah and Isak’s poor form, they’ll need him to keep his level up. He took that opener so well and made it look so much easier than it was.
Haaland’s back in the side again, shock! He makes it all look so routine, his scoring numbers are frankly ridiculous. City are really beginning to click, that was an impressive win away to Palace.
Manager: A tough one this week but I’m going with Regis Le Bris. Sunderland have been amazing this season, and this was the biggest win of them all. Those fans must be in dreamland!
