Newcastle 2-1 Chelsea
An interesting one here. Newcastle weren’t great away to Sunderland last week and if there’s one game you can’t lose, it’s that one. There’s a bit of pressure on Eddie and this side now, they’ll need to bounce back here.
Chelsea cruised it at home to Everton last week, but they’ve got a tricky period of games coming up. This won’t be easy.
I’m leaning towards Newcastle here; I expect a big response.
Redknapp’s one to watch: I think it has to be Woltemade. The lad scored that freak own goal last week, he’ll need to bounce back here.
Bournemouth 2-0 Burnley
What a game that was at Old Trafford, my word! Bournemouth were brilliant going forward but defensively, they were all over the place.
Burnley actually played alright against Fulham and were maybe unlucky not to get a point. They’ll need investment in January to give themselves a chance.
I’ve got pick the home side here.
Redknapp’s one to watch: The rumours surrounding Semenyo aren’t going away. We saw again against United just what a fantastic finisher he is.
Brighton 1-1 Sunderland
Brighton have been on a poor run of form. They weren’t great at Anfield and to concede so early into the game was just a disaster. This is an important part of the season for them, they need to bounce back.
It was hardly a classic, but Sunderland deserved that win over Newcastle. They showed far more ambition, and it was another reminder of just how difficult is to beat this side at home.
Sunderland will be full of confidence; I think they can get a point in this one.
Redknapp’s one to watch: He didn’t start at Anfield last week, but I fully expect Welbeck back in the lineup here, they don’t have anywhere near the same threat without him. He obviously played for Sunderland back in the day as well!
Man City 3-0 West Ham
Manchester City are really beginning to click, they’ve been very impressive of late. The do have a few tricky looking fixtures coming up, so Pep will want a comfortable win here.
As for the Hammers, it was an encouraging performance at home to Villa, but Nuno will be gutted to not even get a point from it. He’s another gaffer that will be desperate to add in January, they need more goals in this side.
A comfortable City win.
Redknapp’s one to watch: It’s no coincidence that City’s form has picked up just as Foden has been in such great form.
Wolves 1-1 Brentford
Wolves were so close to what would have been such a good point for them at Arsenal. Still, they’ve got to try and find some positives from that game.
Brentford have struggled a bit of late; it’s been a difficult run for them. They started well under Keith Andrews, but this will be his first real test as Brentford boss, they need to get back to winning ways.
I’m going for a draw here; I’m not expecting a thriller!
Redknapp’s one to watch: Thiago has been in great form this season, but the goals have dried up a little in the last few weeks.
Spurs 1-2 Liverpool
A tough one to call here. It seems like the pressure on Thomas Frank continues to grow and well, they weren’t great away to Forest. They just don’t seem to have much spark going forward.
Liverpool won at home to Brighton but it’s hard to read too much into that, they were gifted a goal after about 30 seconds! This will be a test for them and to just see where this squad is.
I’m going for Liverpool but I’m not entirely sure what I’ll see from either side here!
Redknapp’s one to watch: Ekitike’s been the main man of late for Liverpool.
Everton 1-2 Arsenal
Everton are quite up and down this season, but this is a dangerous side, they’ve got a lot of good players going forward. They’ll miss Ndiaye at AFCON though, what a good player that lad is.
As for Arsenal, they certainly aren’t playing at their best right now, but they got the win over Wolves and at this stage, that’s all that matters.
I think Arsenal edge this, but I don’t see a great deal in it.
Redknapp’s one to watch: Eze’s gone a little bit quiet of late, he’s due a big performance.
Leeds 1-1 Palace
Leeds have had a great few weeks, that’s given their season a real lift. They showed some spirit in getting a point at Brentford last week, that’s not an easy place to go to.
Palace had a couple of chances against City, but they didn’t play at their best and to be fair, City played very well.
I’m going for the draw here.
Redknapp’s one to watch: I’ve been impressed and a little surprised by Calvert-Lewin’s form of late, he’s been excellent. He had a difficult couple of seasons so it’s good to see him back looking near his best.
Villa 2-1 Man Utd
Villa are the form team in the league, they can’t stop winning right now! Emery’s probably thinking that if they didn’t start the season so slowly, they could be top of the league.
Manchester United are just such a hard side to work out. The positives would be that they look good going forward and have a real threat about them. Defensively, they still have some big issues though!
I have to give this to Villa, I just think they’re in such a great place right now.
Redknapp’s one to watch: I keep picking him and he keeps delivering, Morgan Rogers is playing so well!
Fulham 2-1 Forest
Fulham have picked up in the last few weeks; they’ve had some good performances. They do have a few key players off to AFCON though, that must be a big concern for Marco Silva.
Dyche is doing a great job at Forest, but I can’t say I’m all that surprised. There’s a lot of quality in this side and I’m sure he’s enjoying working with such a talented squad.
There isn’t really a great deal between these two and you can see that in the table. I’m going with Fulham but only just.
Redknapp’s one to watch: One of the league’s form players, Harry Wilson. This lad is delivering goals and assists week after week!
