Villa 1-1 Arsenal
This should be a good one, Emery loves facing his old side! Villa have had a fantastic month or so, that’s them up to third in the table and they might even be in the title race at this rate. That was such a great game against Brighton the other night!
As for Arsenal, they cruised to the win at home to Brentford, but I thought they would. This will be a test for them though; they’ve drawn their last two games on the road.
I’m going for a draw here, I think Villa can hurt Arsenal.
One to watch: It was good to see Ollie Watkins get a couple of goals the other night, that should hopefully give him a real boost going into this one.
Everton 1-1 Forest
A difficult one to predict. Everton have been quite inconsistent this season; I certainly didn’t see them going to Bournemouth and winning! They’ve got a lot of quality in wide areas, but the lack of goals from the strikers must be a concern for Moyes.
It’s been a good few weeks for Forest and for Sean Dyche. He’ll be up for this one, going back to his old side here.
I really don’t see a lot between these two, 1-1.
One to watch: Moyes challenged Jack Grealish to get more goals for him. He got the winner during the week, admittedly with a deflection, and could find the net here.
Newcastle 2-0 Burnley
I know Eddie will be disappointed to not get all three points against Spurs but its been a great two weeks for Newcastle, and they really needed it after a poor start to the season. Win this, and they’ll be right back in the top four race.
Burnley desperately need a positive result after a tough, tough spell. They made a decent enough start to the season but they’re finding it tough right now. 2-0.
One to watch: I do like watching Woltemade, he’s a very unusual striker. He reminds me of Crouchy at times!
Man City 3-1 Sunderland
I couldn’t believe what I was watching the other night at Craven Cottage. City were so good going forward, and so bad at the back! Still, that’s two big wins in a week for Pep’s side.
Sunderland were terrific at Anfield and boy, they easily could have won that game. I’m so impressed by them, it seems like every signing they made in the summer has worked out!
I’m still picking Man City though; they should have too much quality at home.
One to watch: Foden’s been in great form over the last week, it’s brilliant to see.
Spurs 1-1 Brentford
Spurs got a point at Newcastle, but I’m not quite sure how they did it! Romero is such a leader in this side and yet again, he delivered for them. The performances need to improve though, and fast!
Brentford hung on in there at Arsenal, but truth be told, you never really fancied them to get anything from the game.
Brentford will fancy their chances after seeing Fulham come here and win last week. I’m going for the
draw.
One to watch: Igor Thiago didn’t start against Arsenal but I’ll be amazed if he’s not starting here.
He’s been a revelation this season!
Bournemouth 2-2 Chelsea
It’s been a very difficult for Bournemouth, I’m not quite sure what’s happened. They made such a great start, and they don’t want to undo all that good work. They need to get back to their best here.
Chelsea are a strange side. I wasn’t even that surprised they lost at Leeds, that’s just who they’ve been over the last season or so.
I think we’ll see a very good game here, plenty of chances and goals. It’s two sides that are definitely better going forward than they are at the back. 2-2.
One to watch: Could Cole Palmer get his first start here? That could give this attack a real lift.
Leeds 1-1 Liverpool
Boy did Leeds need that win against Chelsea and so did Daniel Farke! That hopefully will give everyone a real lift and show they do belong at this level. They showed plenty of fight against City too, this will be a tough away day for Liverpool.
They rescued a point, but I can’t exactly say Liverpool were any better than they’ve been of late. I keep saying it, it’s just so easy to create chances against them right now.
I’m going for a draw and that’s just because surely Liverpool can’t lose yet another game. They might though!
One to watch: Wirtz technically didn’t get his first goal the other night, but he had some good moments and that should still give him a confidence boost. He’d have loved the goal though!
Brighton 2-1 West Ham
That game against Villa was crazy! Brighton had been on a good run of form before that, so they’ll look to bounce back here.
I know West Ham got a point at Old Trafford, but I can’t say I was all that impressed by them. It was just yet another game that aside from Bowen, they don’t have much threat.
I’ve got to lean towards the home side here.
One to watch: Welbeck’s having what might be the best season of his career.
Fulham 1-1 Palace
Speaking of good games, that City game at Craven Cottage was amazing! Fulham were so good in that second half, and they probably should have got something from the game. Still, it’s been a good week for Marco Silva’s side, and they look so dangerous going forward.
Glasner doesn’t seem the happiest, but his side are still doing the business on the park! Palace will be hoping they can keep things together and hopefully strengthen in January and keep the gaffer happy.
I’m going for the draw, I don’t see a whole lot between them.
One to watch: Chukwueze was absolutely electric against City, they couldn’t get near him!
Wolves 0-2 Man Utd
I’m running out of things to say about Wolves, maybe Rob Edwards is already regretting taking the job! It’s not like they’re losing games heavily, but they just don’t threaten or score enough.
I don’t know how United let that West Ham game slip. They seemed in total control but just didn’t kill the game off and got a bit too defensive for my liking. They still look like a work in progress to me.
Despite all that, I’m still picking United here.
