Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford
An interesting one, two sides that have had very good seasons. Bournemouth have drawn their last couple and have gone a bit goal-shy by their standards! A win here would put them just a point behind Brentford.
What a game that was at Turf Moor the other day, an absolute thriller! That was an important win for Brentford and they’re only a couple of points behind Chelsea and are well in this top six race!
I’m going for the draw.
One to watch – I thought Damsgaard took his winner so, so well on Saturday. He’s a classy player.
Everton 2-1 Burnley
Everton having a strange season, they seem to struggle at home but have been very good on the road! That was a great win for them at Newcastle on Saturday.
Burnley are still fighting, still scrapping for every point. I know they lost in the end but what a comeback that was against Brentford, every credit to them.
I’ve got to lean towards Everton here.
One to watch- I’m cheating and saying two! Everton haven’t really settled on a number nine this season, with Beto and Barry rotating. They both scored at the weekend though so that should give them a lift.
Leeds 1-1 Sunderland
Leeds competed well against City and gave them a real scare. They’ve still got a bit of a gap between themselves and the bottom three though, another couple of wins should be enough.
Sunderland bounced back from three defeats in a row to get a decent point at Bournemouth. The good news for those fans is that they remain a point above Newcastle!
I’m picking the draw here.
One to watch- This looks like a game that could be decided by set-pieces and Calvert-Lewin is always such a threat in the air.
Wolves 1-2 Liverpool
Wolves finally got another win and they really deserved that, they’ve improved so much over the last few weeks. I suppose the frustrating thing for those fans is where have these performances been all season?
Liverpool closed the gap on Villa above them, that’s now three wins in a row and all of a sudden, things are looking a lot better for Arne Slot’s men.
Wolves might just give them a scare here, we saw them against Arsenal. That being said, I’m going with Liverpool.
One to watch- Ekitike’s been Liverpool’s best forward this season, and by some distance.
Villa 1-1 Chelsea
This is a worrying spell for Villa. I know they’ve got a lot of injuries, but the performances haven’t been great for a while and that defeat at Wolves was disastrous really. They need an improvement, and soon.
I actually thought Chelsea had a lot of good moments against Arsenal, but Rosenior will be so disappointed to lose down to two set-piece goals. On that, I feel like I’m watching football become more and more like rugby! All the holding and blocking is just getting out of hand.
I’m picking the draw.
One to watch- He’s been Villa’s star man this season and boy do they need more magic from Morgan Rogers here.
Brighton 0-1 Arsenal
That’s back-to-back wins for Brighton and they really needed that. That’s eased any small relegation concerns, and they look well placed for another midtable finish.
It wasn’t a classic against Chelsea, but I suppose Mikel Arteta won’t care one bit, wins are all that matter to Arsenal at this minute.
Arsenal to narrowly edge this and it could very well be another corner that gets them the win.
One to watch – Gabriel is just such a threat at these corners, he wins so many headers. I won’t be surprised if he nodded one in here.
Fulham 2-1 West Ham
Fulham are in a good place at the minute and added to Spurs’ woes with that win over them. Marco Silva has done another great job here this season and it could be an exciting end to the season for those fans.
As for the Hammers, they weren’t bad at Anfield, but Nuno will be disappointed by the nature of some of those goals.
I just think Fulham have slightly more quality, slightly more attacking threat than West Ham and that will be the difference.
One to watch- Iwobi’s a very underrated player and he’s having a brilliant season. He’s scored some lovely goals in his last couple of games.
Man City 3-0 Forest
City keep winning and keep putting the pressure on Arsenal. It’s going to be such a fascinating few weeks for them as Pep manages his squad for this and of course that tie against Real Madrid.
Forest were disappointing against Brighton. I just worry that the Europa League could become a bit of a distraction for them. I know they want to do well in that, as they should, but it’s very hard to do well in that and domestically.
A comfortable home win.
One to watch- Semenyo looks like he’s been in this side for years, he’s added a real spark to the attack.
Newcastle 2-2 Man United
Wow, what a game this should be. Newcastle look a long way off the top four now but they need a big performance and a big win just to give the place a lift. There’s still so much for them to play for this season.
United haven’t been playing brilliantly in the last few games but they’re getting results and that’s all that matters. To think they’re now third in the league, that would have been unthinkable a few months ago.
I can see an end-to-end, entertaining clash. 2-2.
One to watch – Anthony Gordon usually delivers in the big game for Newcastle, I can see him causing United a lot of problems.
Spurs 1-1 Palace
Well, where do I start? Make no mistake, Spurs are in a relegation fight now. The squad look quite dejected to me and its early days, but the new gaffer hasn’t got the lift he would have wanted. A win here would give everyone a boost and ease some of those concerns.
Palace were a touch unlucky at Old Trafford but it looks like the Conference League will be their priority this season. I’m sure the fans will travel here in big numbers though; they’ll love to add to Spurs problems.
I’m leaning towards a draw here, this could be a very, very nervy game.
One to watch – Brennan Johnson was obviously signed by Palace in January and imagine he scores against his old side here! That would be so typical.
