Welcome back to Harry Redknapp’s PL Team of the Week for matchday 34 here on BetVictor News. The Premier League is often viewed as the pinnacle of football betting in the UK and I’ve identified my 11 picks for what was another pivotal round of games in England’s elite football division. My PL Team of the Week also includes a manager, too.
BetVictor’s Premier League betting markets are live on-site ahead of the next round of fixtures which are set to take place between May 1st-4th – which includes Man United’s home clash against Liverpool, Arsenal vs Fulham and Everton vs Man City. Until then, let’s take a look at who shined on matchday 34.
Harry Redknapp’s PL Team Of The Week: Arsenal, Liverpool And West Ham Stars All Included
I’m picking Antonin Kinsky in the sticks, fair play to the lad. We all know what happened to him in Madrid and that was a very difficult moment for him to get over. He did a good job at Molineux though and was the hero at the end with that good save. A nice moment for the Tottenham stopper.
Liverpool have had issues at right-back all season, it’s like a lottery to see who plays there! Curtis Jones has filled in there in recent weeks and did a good job against Palace and he showed his quality going forward. The lad’s clearly got a good attitude.
Joachim Andersen was magnificent for Fulham in the win over Villa. I’ve always liked this guy, and you can see why, he’s a commanding, calming presence at the back. He dealt with everything that came his way and he’s always got excellent quality on the ball.
Gabriel was top class for Arsenal against Newcastle. Some might argue that he was lucky to have been playing after not getting a red against Haaland! He’s a brilliant centre-half though, one of the very best.
I still think Andy Robertson’s got a lot to offer. You saw him pop up with a goal at the weekend, that was nice for a player that’s been such a brilliant servant to Liverpool. I’m curious where he goes next, he’s still a very good left-back.
Time after time, Jarrod Bowen delivers for West Ham. This lad is just fantastic, one of the great Hammers players in the Premier League era. He was brilliant against Everton in what was such a massive game, stepping up and getting two assists for his side.
Another West Ham player, Tomas Soucek. This guy was everywhere and of course, popped up with a goal. He seems to always score big goals for the club and is just an absolutely ideal player for a relegation scrap. He’s reliable, experienced and full of character.
Alexis Mac Allister’s had quite a disappointing season by his standards, but he was superb at the weekend. He got a couple of assists for Liverpool and just looked a lot more like himself.
That Forest result was remarkable, Morgan Gibbs-White was yet again at the heart of everything. He’s been in absolutely sensational form over the last few weeks. He’s scoring in virtually every game and leading his side to safety. Forget player of the week, he’s player of the month!
Eberechi Eze seems to only score good goals! He’s been the one bright spark in that Arsenal attack in recent weeks, even against City last week. If Arsenal do get over the line and win the title he could very well be the difference.
I know he only played ten minutes or so, but how can I leave Callum Wilson out of my PL Team of the Week? He’s not getting any younger, but he still knows where the net is! The guy has such a knack for coming off the bench and getting a goal for his side. What a massive, massive win that was for West Ham.
Manager – I think it has to be Calum McFarlane! This guy might end up leading Chelsea to the FA Cup, imagine that. He’s back in interim charge and after getting a point at the Etihad earlier in the season, he goes and wins the semi-final. Well done to him.
