It’s Blackpool week for the Strictly contestants, and as Krishnan Guru-Murthy becomes the latest name to get the boot, the final 7 pairs will take to the stage as they look to avoid the dreaded dance-off for yet another week. While the Strictly come Dancing odds have barely changed, with Ellie Leach and partner Vito Coppola still out in the lead, the dances for this weekend have been released, so we thought we’d share them with you below:
- Angela Rippon and her partner Kia, a 70/1 outsider, will be performing an American Smooth to the Ella Fitzgerald song, ‘Tea for Two’.
- Angela Scanlon alongside Carlos, outsiders at odds of 22/1, will be dancing an Argentine Tango to Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’.
- Annabel Croft and partner Johannes, the bottom favourites at 100/1 odds to win, will also be taking on an American Smooth, but to Benedetta Caretta’s version of ‘Unchained Melody’.
- Bobby Brazier and dance partner Dianne, with 9/1 odds to win, will be jiving to Wham’s very own ‘Wake me Up Before you Go Go’.
- Ellie Leach and Vito, currently at odds to win of 4/11, will be doing the Charleston to the Girls Aloud classic, ‘Love Machine’.
- Layton Williams and partner Nikita, with odds of 11/1 to win, will do the Couple’s Choice to Christina Aguilera’s ‘Ain’t No Other Man’.
- Nigel Harman and Katya, at 5/1 odds to win, will be dancing a Quickstep to Duke Ellington’s, ‘Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing’.
- While the odds clearly show Ellie Leach and Nigel Harman as the favourites to win, can the Dave Arch band’s musical genius help to hoist one of our outsiders to a better place in the betting markets, or will Claudia Winkelman and Tess Daly once again be waving goodbye to another expected name. All that is left to do is to wait for the show to kick off this Saturday to enjoy another week of incredible dancing and keep an eye on the latest Strictly come Dancing odds.
Previous review:
As week number 7 has drawn to a close and week number 8 looms closer on the horizon, the Strictly Come Dancing odds are heating up with every passing moment. With Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk’s rumba not enough to save them from the last dance off, it seems bookies survivor Angela Rippon’s chances to win are stretching even further, currently at the time of writing, at 66/1. So who is leading the Strictly Betting Odds markets this week and who will be praying to last another week?
As Claudia Winkelman takes charge of yet another series of Strictly since her commencement with Tess Daly in 2014, her announcement that the live show will start an hour earlier this weekend, means contestants have even less time to wait until their dances begin. At the current time of writing, here are all the latest odds for the Strictly Come Dancing partners.
From longest to shortest, the BetVictor Strictly Come Dancing odds are as follows:
Krishnan Guru-Murthy, paired with Lauren Oakley – 100/1
Angela Rippon, partnered by Kai Widdrington – 66/1
Annabel Croft, paired with Johannes Radebe – 66/1
Angela Scanlon, partnered with Carlos Gu – 16/1
Layton Williams, paired by Nikita Kuzmin– 11/1
Bobby Brazier, partnered by Dianne Buswell – 9/2
Nigel Harman, paired with Katya Jones – 10/11
Ellie Leach, partnered with Vito Coppola – 4/6
BetVictor Prediction on Strictly Come Dancing
As seen above, Ellie Leach is the bettors frontrunner, having topped the table the last two weeks running with point totals of 39 and 38 respectively, however what’s more surprising, is that runner-up Layton Williams who came first in weeks 4 and 5, then runner-up in the last two weeks, is the fourth most popular in the Strictly betting odds at current. While the market is sure to change as the weekend passes, it will be interesting to see who will face off in the dance off and whether music director Dave Arch, and his incredible band, can pick up the tempo to make it the best one yet!
For now, fans and punters alike will have to just wait for Saturday’s early show and Sunday’s results to see who is eliminated and whether a new front-runner will emerge in the Strictly Come Dancing Odds.
