Kalif Du Berlais at just shy of even money looks a cracking bet to me at Kempton in the Adonis. Paul Nicholls has a fair record in the race and whilst this horse may get quotes should he win for the Festival, I think he is more likely to be Aintree bound.
On the face of it, he has a tough assignment having to give five pounds to the entire field. That said, the manner of his first win in the UK was impressive, the form looks to be ok too, with the third and fifth since that day both winning. I believe this course and distance winner will prove to be a cut above his rivals today, and is a horse we could be following for the long term future too.
