Martinez was terrific for Villa and he’s getting in my side this week. We all know what a character this lad is and when he’s at his best, he’s one of the best keepers around. That save from Odegaard was amazing.
I always think Matty Cash is an underrated player, he’s having an excellent season for Villa. He’s chipped in this season with some goals and assists and I thought he took his goal brilliantly against Arsenal.
Guehi was magnificent against Fulham, and nodded home the winner late in the game. It was a real captain’s performance from the lad. I know there’s been debate about whether Palace should have cashed in on him in the summer, but Glasner was desperate to keep him and rightly so. What a player he is and at this rate, Palace might be in the title race!
Senesi had a strong game for Bournemouth against Chelsea. It was hardly a classic, but he stood up to everything that came his way. It was a decent point for Bournemouth after what’s been a tough month or so.
Mitchell goes under the radar for Palace, he’s an excellent wing-back. All of Palace’s threat seemed to come down his side and he’s a lad that I think has got better and better over the last couple of seasons.
I know he was in a losing side but my word, what a goal from Harry Wilson, this lad only scores wonder goals! This might have been the best of the lot, just sensational technique from him. He’s always had that in the locker but he’s really developing into a top player.
Xavi Simons had his best game in a Spurs shirt and he needed that and so did Spurs. We’ve seen glimpses of this lad’s talent, but he really caught the eye here, scoring one, creating another. Hopefully he kicks on from this.
Dewsbury-Hall is having a great couple of weeks for Everton, he’s been brilliant. He got the winner at Old Trafford, scored that brilliant goal against Newcastle and then got another goal here. He’s been a great signing.
Bruno Guimares gets in my side a lot, he’s been outstanding over the last month. He led his side well against Burnley and slowly but surely, Newcastle are creeping up that league table.
Cherki had some absolutely sublime touches against Sunderland. There’s no denying this lad’s talent, some of the stuff he does with the ball at his feet is amazing. That assist for Foden’s header was so classy.
Liverpool’s forwards have been far from at their best, but Ekitike’s probably been the pick of the bunch this season. He got another couple of goals against Leeds, and I do like what I see from the lad. He probably thought he was going to be the match winner, something’s not right at Liverpool. Don’t get me started on the Salah stuff too, talk about a mess!
Manager – I’m picking Daniel Farke as my manager of the week. Let’s face it, he was under a bit of pressure a week or two ago, but Leeds have really found some form. They were a bit unlucky against City but have gone and beat Chelsea at home and drawn to Liverpool, he deserves a lot of credit.
