Vozinha Transfer News: Inter Miami In The Race For Cape Verde Sensation

With the football transfer odds beginning to gather traction now the window is officially open, the race for Vozinha’s signature is really hotting up. Even though he turned 40 last month, Inter Miami are one of the favourites to land the free agent.

The Cape Verde star left Portuguese second-division club Chaves on June 30 upon the expiry of his contract – meaning Inter do not need to negotiate a direct transfer fee. It’s no secret that Vozinha is a huge Lionel Messi fan and he could be lining up alongside him at club level in MLS. A dream that potentially hinges on England legend David Beckham.

Elsewhere, English Premier League betting favourites Arsenal have also been mentioned as a potential suitor by various news outlets. However, the Gunners have opted to sign Leeds stopper Illan Meslier as a back-up for 2026-27.

Brazilian Serie B duo Avai and Atletico Goianiense are also interested, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. Top-flight Portuguese side Alverca have also been mentioned. But if it comes to it, Vozinha would likely opt to team-up with Messi.

Vozinha’s World Cup Stats

Not only were Cape Verde’s World Cup stats hugely impressive, Vozinha has proven to be one of the stand out star’s of the 2026 extravaganza. In total, the Blue Sharks star made 18 saves across his four games whilst keeping clean sheets against World Cup betting favourites Spain and Saudi Arabia.

Not only that, the veteran stopper pulled off a stunning save from a Lionel Messi free-kick in the narrow extra-time loss to Argentina in the Round of 32. But there’s no denying his eight stunning saves on matchday one against La Roja catapulted the 40-year-old into global stardom.

How Many Instagram Followers Has Vozinha Got?

Off the back of his stunning World Cup displays, Vozinha’s Instagram following skyrocketed from 50k to an astonishing 28.1million over the course of three weeks. The greatest international football tournament on earth always produces new stars and there’s no denying that Vozinha has stole the limelight in 2026.

Interestingly, the Cape Verde stopper has more followers than NFL legend Tom Brady, NBA star Luka Doncic and tennis champion Novak Djokovic. In terms of footballers, Kevin De Bruyne, Luka Modric and Erling Haaland all have less than Vozinha. Meaning whoever signs him, will reap many financial benefits and increase their club brand almost instantly.
