With the countdown very much on to the new season, BetVictor has released the Premier League 2026-27 relegation odds market.
Dropping to the EFL Championship can often have devastating and long-lasting effects on those who are unfortunate to suffer such a consequence. And with the new campaign set to get underway on August 21, BetVictor News takes a closer look at those most likely to go down come May.
Premier League 2026-27 Relegation Odds
Promoted trio Hull, Ipswich and Coventry are the likeliest clubs to be relegated in 2026-27, according to BetVictor’s football traders. The Premier League 2026-27 relegation odds list the Tigers at 1/5, the Tractor Boys at 8/13 with the Sky Blues priced at 4/6.
Therefore, Sergej Jakirovic’s side seemingly face the toughest task of keeping their heads above water this term. Traditionally, play-off winners – which the East Yorkshireman were – will always have the shortest odds to avoid the drop.
As for Gary O’Neil’s side, they were part of the top-flight in 2024-25 and will be hoping they can survive this time around. And as far as Frank Lampard’s side are concerned, they have the ‘best’ chance of keeping their top-flight status for 2027-28.
However, it will take a herculean effort for either club to finish 17th or above. With that said, Sunderland and Leeds survived with considerable ease in 2025-26 having won promotion the season prior. Only Burnley – who finished 2nd in the Championship – fell straight back through the trap door.
What Other Teams Are At Risk Of Premier League Relegation?
Having defied the Premier League odds last season, Sunderland find themselves priced at 11/4 to be playing EFL Championship football in 2027-28. That makes them the fourth-favourites here at BetVictor.
The main reason for their relatively short price stems from two factors. Second-season syndrome and the distraction of Europa League football. The Mackems could join a long-list of sides who come up, enjoy a stellar top-flight campaign then struggle next time around. A minimum of eight extra games on the continent could work against them, too.
Elsewhere, Leeds are also in contention. The Whites did toy with the bottom three for parts of the 2025-26 campaign but were never truly in danger of being sucked into a dogfight. Further afield are the likes of Fulham, Nottingham, Crystal Palace and at 10/1, Man City. Who of course, have the small matter of the 115 charges to contend with.
