Next West Ham Manager Odds: Ex-Midfielder 4/5 To Lead The Hammers In The Championship

After Premier League relegation was confirmed on matchday 38, the next West Ham manager odds market has been released here on BetVictor; and there is one clear favourite for the role should Nuno Espirito Santo and the Hammers part company.

The Portuguese boss was unable to save the Iron despite overseeing a 3-0 win over Leeds on May 24. Santo was hired in September and managed to register nine wins from his 33 top-flight games in charge.

However, the former Spurs and Wolves gaffer looks destined to move on from the London Stadium in the next few days. And with that in mind, BetVictor News takes a closer look at the leading candidates who could lead the east Londoners in the 2026-27 EFL Championship.

Next West Ham Manager Odds Sees Scott Parker Head The Betting At 4/5

Having left Burnley in April, the next West Ham manager odds market has seen Scott Parker installed as the 4/5 favourite. Parker spent four full seasons at Upton Park during his playing days and is still widely admired by the fans. Furthermore, sporting director Mark Noble is understood to be keen to reunite with his former midfield teammate.

If the Iron are eager, they’ll need to move quickly. Parker is also a contender in the next Southampton manager odds market. But Parker’s affiliation with the east Londoners is reflected in the price and various media outlets also suggest he is the most likely man to replace Nuno Espirito Santo. Also, he has led Bournemouth, Burnley and Fulham to Premier League promotion.

Slaven Bilic, Gary O’Neil And Craig Bellamy Also In Contention For West Ham Role

The second favourite for the West Ham job is Slaven Bilic. The Croatian can be backed at 3/1 and is currently without a club having left Saudi Pro League side Al-Fateh in August 2024. Similar to Parker, Bilic has history with the Hammers as a former player and manager. He was in the dugout between 2015-2017 and boasted a 37.84% win ratio.

Meanwhile, ex-players Gary O’Neil and Craig Bellamy also offer decent value. O’Neil successfully preserved Bournemouth’s Premier League status in 2022-23 and also performed above expectations at Wolves before getting the boot in December 2024.

As for Bellamy, he is the current Wales manager and narrowly missed out on securing a 2026 World Cup spot. He has plenty of coaching experience but his Red Dragons gig is the only senior managerial role he has held.

Could Sam Allardyce Return To West Ham?

Even at the ripe age of 71, Sam Allardyce is 12/1 to re-join West Ham. ‘Big Sam’ oversaw the Hammers 2012 EFL Championship play-off final win over Blackpool at Wembley Stadium. He would then go on to keep the east Londoners in England’s elite until he left in 2015.

Allardyce was last in the dugout in the 2022-23 season with Leeds. Having been drafted in during the last four games of the campaign, Allardyce lasted just 30 days as the Whites tumbled out of the top-flight. Having continuously defied football betting odds whilst at Bolton, Allardyce has also been in charge of Newcastle, Blackburn, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and a single game for England.
