Jurgen Klopp Is The Odds On Favourite To Be Named As The New Germany Boss

With the dust still settling on the surprise 2026 World Cup Round of 32 defeat to Paraguay, BetVictor has published the next Germany manager odds market.

Having suffered a 3-4 sudden death loss on spot-kicks to the South Americans, current head coach Julian Nagelsmann’s future has come under the spotlight. The former Bayern boss is very much in the crosshairs of the German media who have blasted the 38-year-old’s performance in the dugout.

Furthermore, various reports suggest the DFB-Team entertained a number of internal issues during the tournament which derailed their progress and ultimately, sealed their fate. And with that in mind, BetVictor News has taken a closer look at the most likely contenders who could replace Nagelsmann if he is to be given his P45 in the coming days.

Next Germany Manager Odds: Jurgen Klopp The 4/5 Favourite

Even though he appears content in his role as the Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull GmbH, BetVictor’s next Germany manager odds market has listed Jurgen Klopp as the early favourite to succeed Julian Nagelsmann.

The Liverpool legend has been out of management for almost two years now and the lure of overseeing the national team is an opportunity that can’t be ignored lightly. In fact, Klopp may prefer the role as oppose to the high-paced intensity of a club role. Something of which he gave as a reason for passing the baton over to Arne Slot at Anfield in 2024.

England 100/1

Could Pep Guardiola Manager Germany?

Jurgen Klopp may be leading the market but just behind him with odds of 11/4 is old rival Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard left Man City earlier this summer after a trophy-laden spell at the Etihad. Similar to Klopp, the Barcelona legend won every domestic title available as well as the Champions League. Albeit his trophies were won on a more regular basis.

Pep has never managed at international level but he certainly has the CV, experience and reputation to take on the job. Especially as Germany have entertained a transitional period of over a decade and are keen to get back to their usual, winning ways. Something of which Guardiola specialises in.

Who Could Replace Julian Nagelsmann As Germany Manager?

Other names worth considering in the next Germany manager odds market include Sebastian Hoeness and ex-boss Joachim Low. The former is currently priced at 9/2 and led Stuttgart to the 2024-25 DFB-Pokal and finished runner-up the season after.

As for Low, he hasn’t been in the dugout since he quit after Euro 2020. The 2-0 defeat by England at Wembley sealed his fate and it’s understood he would consider coming back. Elsewhere, Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler is available at 6/1 with Oliver Glasner at 8/1.
