The Blues Boss Is Under Fire Just Three Months Into His Stamford Bridge Role
Liam Rosenior’s future in west London is seemingly hanging by a thread after a disastrous 3-0 defeat at Brighton on MD34 – their third Premier League loss in a row. The hefty scoreline on the South Coast has seen the next Chelsea manager odds intensify going into the final few weeks of the 2025-26 season.
Rosenior was perhaps a bold and a somewhat unusual appointment in January, replacing Enzo Maresca. Fast-forward 12 weeks, it appears that the Blue’s decision is backfiring and BetVictor News has put a number of candidates to replace Rosenior under the microscope.
Next Chelsea Manager Odds: Will Filipe Luis Replace Liam Rosenior?
As of April 22, BetVictor’s Manager Specials market has installed Filipe Luis as the 4/1 joint-favourite to succeed Liam Rosenior. Luis actually spent the 2014-15 campaign at Stamford Bridge as a player so he already has inside knowledge of the club.
In terms of his managerial career, it has been short but sweet. Luis was most recently in charge of Brazilian outfit Flamengo. During his time in South America, Luiz won the Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores. That saw the club extend his contract in December 2025 until NYE 2027.
However, after an 8-0 victory over Madureira earlier this month, Luis left the Maracana. His surprising exit has seen him linked with a number of European heavyweights. Although in his infancy as a manager, Luis has made an impressive start and is firmly in Chelsea’s crosshairs.

Cesc Fabregas And Frank Lampard Among The Favourites To Be The Next Chelsea Manager
Having starred with Serie A big-spenders Como, Cesc Fabregas can be backed at 6/1 in the next Chelsea manager odds market. Fabregas is earning a fine managerial reputation for himself in Italy and has been linked with the Blues in the past.
Fabregas actually turned down Inter Milan’s advances in the summer to continue his project with I Lariani. Many consider the Italians to be punching above their weight and much of that boils down to Fabregas’ stylish and slick tactics. As it stands, Como are still in contention for a Champions League berth in 2026-27.
As a player, Fabregas spent four-and-a-half seasons with the Blues. He helped the club win two Premier League titles and is widely admired by supporters in west London. His potential appointment would be very well received.
Elsewhere, club legend Frank Lampard is also a strong contender. His 10/1 price offers plenty of value and he has just led Coventry City back into the Premier League. However, Lampard’s first spell as Chelsea boss didn’t end smoothly.
On the pitch during his first season in 2019-20, he led the Blues to fourth spot and finished as runner-up in the FA Cup. The following campaign, cracks began to show and results nosedived, meaning Thomas Tuchel was hired in January 2021 with Lampard reportedly falling out with certain players and club directors.

Diego Simeone, Oliver Glasner, Xavi And Andoni Iraola Strong Contenders In The Next Chelsea Manager Odds Market
After his hugely successful 15-year stint with Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone is the joint-favourite at 4/1 to replace Liam Rosenior. Simeone is already considered a legend in the red and white half of the Spanish capital and he has defied the Champions League odds once again this term to lead Atleti to the semis. If he goes all the way, an exit from the Metropolitano could be on the cards.
Having announced his Crystal Palace departure for the end of the season, it’s no surprise to see Oliver Glasner given a 5/1 price. That makes him the third favourite behind Filipe Luis and Simeone. Glasner has caught the attention of a number of the ‘Big Six.’ After his exploits at Palace, winning the FA Cup in 2024-25, and earning a last four spot in the UECL, it is hardly a surprise.
Another name often linked to the Blues is Xavi (6/1). The Barcelona legend is currently out of work and would be a welcome addition at Stamford Bridge. The 2010 World Cup winner has had plenty of success at Qatari side Al Sadd. He also won LaLiga in 2022-23 with Barcelona.
Although Andoni Iraola is the 2/1 favourite when it comes to the next Newcastle manager odds market, the Spaniard will be very much in-demand when he leaves Bournemouth in June. After his brilliant and transformative work on the South Coast, Chelsea will surely be tracking and monitoring the 43-year-old. He can be backed at 6/1.
Other names in the mix include Roberto De Zerbi (6/1), Marco Silva (8/1) and Unai Emery (12/1).
