We have a seriously busy Wednesday with action over jumps at Fairyhouse (NAP), Ludlow and Sedgefield whilst Kempton plays host to an all-weather card. We also have flat action from Happy Valley to kick things off live on Sky Sports Racing in the morning.
Cheltenham Festival Non-Runner No Bet
It has arrived at BetVictor! We are now Non-Runner, No Bet on every single race at the Cheltenham Festival. Plenty of you will be keen to start getting stuck in and now have the added insurance of your money back if your selection doesn’t line up at Prestbury Park come March.
Nap Of The Day
I have had my eye on this horse with a view to the Fred Winter and its interesting that connections have opted to come to Fairyhouse (15:00) to take on elders in a rated novice hurdle. Lark In The Mornin has plenty to suggest he should make up into a smart hurdler. A winner on soft ground over a mile on the flat, his hurdles efforts have shown two fair runs with a slightly moderate performance sandwiched in between. The third last time out at Punchestown was a very eye-catching effort. Highwind, the winner that day, then went on to run in the grade one spring juvenile at the Dublin Racing Festival and could have finished closer had it not been for some dubious jumping. The main dangers on paper appear to come from the hat trick seeking Miss Pronuciation and the wide margin last time out winner Purse Price who scored at Thurles. Lark In The Mornin is currently 7/1 with BetVictor for the Boodles (aka Fred Winter) Non-Runner No Bet. It could well be worth a second look at taking that prior to the run today.
Royal Runner To Go Jumping At Sedgefield
Best of luck to BetVictor brand ambassadors Jamie Snowden and Gavin Sheehan who team up with Reach For The Moon. He is making his hurdles debut today. A one-time Derby favourite, this gelding by Sea The Stars could be a type to take the national hunt world by storm providing he enjoys this new challenge.
