We did well yesterday as our without the favourite bet on Questionable at Ffos Las landed, it was a shame we couldn’t go one better to land the win as well but we move on today for a busy Wednesday. Action comes from Brighton, Pontefract, Yarmouth and Sligo on the flat. Wexford host a jumps card and Kempton tonight is your all-weather venue.
Daily Nap
The Brighton Festival gets underway today, keep your eyes peeled to BetVictor’s social media feeds as I will be bringing you the market movers from the track. My Nap will actually come in the lucky last where we have a seven-furlong handicap for horses that have not managed to win so far this year.
This looks a competitive race but based on his Yarmouth third a couple of starts ago I think On Song can hit the high notes. This year his three starts have seen a good reappearance on good to firm a Yarmouth where the form is working out, then another placed effort at Doncaster over the seven before a fair effort at Bath over the mile when not finding the clearest of passages home at a key point in the race to finish sixth.
Down to a mark of 60 and back to seven on good to firm ground I think he has a great chance of landing his first win today. Whilst this style of track would be a question mark the trainer has a good record of his runners at the Sussex track, in the last five years George Boughey has a 26% strike rate and had you backed every runner of his at Brighton blind you would have made a profit. Today I think On Song can continue that decent record under Billy Loughnane.
