Just the two meetings today with Fontwell off, we having a final jumps meet at Catterick and an all weather card at Kempton which gets underway late afternoon.
Nap Of The Day
We aim to go three in a row but in truth it’s slim pickings today. The one race where I had a bit of interest was the 3.15 at Catterick. The race has a favourite from Ireland who deserves respects but looks a shade short to my eye. I want to take a chance and back Sweet Fantasy from the in form James Owen yard.
His team are a mix of both jumps and flat horses but at time of writing he is operating at a 57% strike rate in the last two weeks. Sweet Fantasy was a winner over hurdles at Plumpton on his first start over obstacles and gets the services of Alex Chadwick who takes the seven pound penalty off which his claim.
At around 11/4 i’m going to take on Lily Du Berlais with this five year old by Wootton Bassett.
