NAP of the Day – Wednesday 1st May

NAP of the Day

A truly brilliant Wednesday of racing with action at Punchestown providing us with top quality jumps whilst Ascot hosts its trials day for horses with aspirations of returning for the biggest week in the flat calendar. We also have meetings at Pontefract and Brighton on the turf plus an all weather card at Wolverhampton.

My NAP will come at Punchestown where we aim to improve on yesterday’s third.

It is another stacked card and Dancing City makes huge appeal in the three mile Novice Hurdle at 4.15. Willie Mullins has as expected started the week well and this track should be ideal for a horse who has been pretty busy already this season. He managed to reverse the form at Aintree last time out with The Jukebox Man and the track at Punchestown should suit him once again. Drying ground poses no issue and I think he can give Paul Townend another winner in his purist of the jockeys championship today.
