NAP of the Day – Saturday 10th February

Nap of the Day

I have had my eye on this horse with a view to the Fred Winter, he was entered to take on elders in a rated novice hurdle midweek which was lost to the weather. Lark In The Mornin (Naas 13:20) has plenty to suggest he should make up into a smart hurdler. A winner on soft ground over a mile on the flat, his hurdles efforts have shown two fair runs with a slightly moderate performance sandwiched in between. The third last time out at Punchestown was a very eye-catching effort. Highwind, the winner that day, then went on to run in the grade one spring juvenile at the Dublin Racing Festival and could have finished closer had it not been for some dubious jumping. Lark In The Mornin is currently 7/1 with BetVictor for the Boodles (aka Fred Winter) Non-Runner No Bet. Given this race has thrown up the winner of that race on multiples occasions, it’s well worth noting who comes out on top here.
