Good to get a winner yesterday at Sandown, albeit at a shorter price. Today, we have loads of racing with Goodwood, Haydock, Bath, Pontefract and the Curragh hosting flat cards. Downpatrick and Hereford offer jump enthusiasts options later today.
Haydock’s ground is expected to be testing after significant rain this week and the 4.55 has a favourite who should relish it for the NAP. Doha makes her seasonal return and handicap debut off 82. The Windsor maiden win came in October on soft ground and looked impressive. She has a wonderful page being a fillie of Sea The Stars and Treve. The second in that Windsor race is now rated 90 and has done well for Rodger Varian whilst the fourth, Mother Margaret, has won since. I would be disappointed if she can’t win going up to one mile two furlongs today.
