NAP of the Day – Monday 19th August

It was a decent week for the NAP as we look to continue the good form into a great week of racing with York’s Ebor meeting starting on Wednesday. Today we have the return of UK jumps action at Worcester, whilst flat action comes from Yarmouth, Windsor and Catterick.

Daily NAP

The 3.45 at Catterick looks a pretty tame restricted novice race over one mile four furlongs. L’Eagle Aid is your odds on favourite but after his effort last time out I would be avoiding taking a short price on him here. The best of the rest to my eye from what we know is Ben Brookhouse’s runner Vinny’s Dream. Seen just the once at Chelmsford over a slightly shorter trip when fourth, the winner of that race went on to run in the Derby, the second has ran well again in a novice next time out and the third took a competitive handicap at Goodwood. His page suggests this kind of trip is right up his street and I fancy Vinny’s Dream to upset the favourite here.
