Chelsea and Forest will miss out on Champions League

Nottingham Forest 2-1 Chelsea

This is probably the clash of the weekend. In fact, it might be one of the games of the season! Just a point between them, what an atmosphere we’ll get here. It’s been an unbelievable season for Nottingham Forest, and they’d love to finish it off in style. I know they’ve slipped up in recent weeks but don’t write them off here.

For Chelsea, how will this side cope with that atmosphere, that pressure on them? Let’s face it, Chelsea not getting top five will be disastrous for the club and a few heads will roll.
This could be anything. I’d love to see Forest get the job done, I think they deserve it. I’m going for 2-1 and that man, Chris Wood, to be the hero.

One to watch – Whatever happens, this might be Morgan Gibbs-White’s last game for Forest. The Manchester City links don’t seem to be going away and that’ll be one to watch this summer. He’s a great player and so, so crucial to this side.

Manchester United 0-2 Aston Villa

How will Manchester United cope after that loss in Bilbao? It was a very difficult night for them and the atmosphere around the dressing room and the club can’t possibly be good. I don’t think they were terrible, but Tottenham did a job on them and saw out a famous win. On that, I was delighted for Ange Postecoglou and more importantly, those fans. They deserved that moment.

A win here could be enough for Villa to make it. That would be a fantastic season for the club, particularly when you consider how well they did in the Champions League this season. It’s worked out quite nicely for them, Spurs last week before the final and United fresh off losing it!

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of pressure on Villa here, the club has budgeted for Champions League qualification. It could be nervy for them, but I think they’ll get the job done.

One to watch – Morgan Rogers has been a revelation this year and is one of the league’s best young talents. He might dominate the midfield battle here.

Fulham 1-3 Manchester City

A big one for Manchester City. A draw might just be enough for them to seal a Champions League spot but knowing Pep Guardiola, he’ll be targeting all three points. It won’t be easy; Fulham give everyone a good game at home and have had a great season themselves. I still think City will get the job done though, even if I see Fulham scoring. 3-1 to City and maybe another Omar Marmoush beauty, what a goal that was the other night!

One to watch – It must be Kevin De Bruyne in what will be his final game for the club. What a servant, what a player he’s been for them. I’d love to see him get a goal; he’s one of the true Premier League legends.

Newcastle 2-0 Everton

There’s a bit of pressure on Newcastle here, but I think they’ll be fine. Let’s face it, Everton have nothing to play for and last week’s goodbye to Goodison felt like the end of their season. With those home fans behind them, I think they’ll win comfortably and seal their Champions League spot. 2-0.
One to watch – Alexander Isak is out, could Callum Wilson be the hero in what could be his last game for the club?
