Five Attacking Options Arsenal Should Consider For The January Transfer Window

The latest Arsenal transfer news has been rife with rumours and speculation as to who the Gunners could add to their attack in January.

It’s no secret that Mikel Arteta is a little light in terms of numbers up top. Especially as Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli were allowed to leave in the summer. The north Londoners did bring in Christos Tzolis but it’s clear that Arteta will need to reinforce his squad in the new year.

And with that in mind, BetVictor News takes a closer look at five forwards/attackers/wingers the Premier League champions could target in the coming months.

Arsenal Transfer News

Kenan Yildiz – Juventus

Juventus poster boy Kenan Yildiz is widely regarded as one of the finest attacking talents in European football. Yildiz already has 31 Turkey caps to his name aged 21 and featured for the Crescent Stars at the World Cup in the summer.

Not only is Yildiz a modern day winger, his versatility to play in a number of attacking positions is something of which could prove extremely beneficial at Arsenal. Yildiz has an array of exciting attributes but he won’t come cheap. Juve have him tied down on a deal which runs until 2030.

Eli Junior Kroupi – Bournemouth

BetVictor’s Eli Junior Kroupi next club odds market already lists Arsenal as the favourites to land the Bournemouth baller. Kroupi enjoyed a stellar debut campaign in the Premier League last season and even netted in both league games against Arsenal.

The France U21 star typically operates as a centre-forward and would provide an alternative to Viktor Gyokeres who has struggled somewhat in north London. Similar to Kenan Yildiz, Kroupi would command a sizable fee but he has already demonstrated his worth in England’s elite.

Antonio Nusa – RB Leipzig

A slightly cheaper option but certainly a talent that would light up Arsenal’s attack is Antonio Nusa. The Norway star operates on the left-wing and shares many similarities to Bukayo Saka. Nusa has a keen eye for goal and scored an absolute peach against the Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup.

Interest in Nusa is already growing but the Gunners pulling power make them an attractive candidate for the RB Leipzig star. Still aged 21, the former Club Brugge winger would make a welcome addition at the Emirates in the January window.

Igor Matanovic – Freiburg

Having helped Freiburg defy the Europa League football betting odds last season – whereby they reached the final – Arsenal have been heavily linked with Igor Matanovic. The Croatian centre-forward netted 15 times in 2025-26 and already has six goals in seven outings this term.

Matanovic would be a useful option up top whereby Arsenal typically deploy Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres. The Bundesliga side wouldn’t want to lose the 6’5″ forward mid-season but an offer in the region of £50-60million would be hard to refuse.

Pio Esposito – Inter Milan

The latest Arsenal transfer news concerning an attacking star saw the Gunners linked with Pio Esposito. The Inter Milan and Italy wonderkid was reportedly watched by scouts of the north Londoners during the recent Nations League clash between the Azzurri and Turkey.

Esposito enjoyed his breakout campaign last year whereby he netted 10 times in all competitions. Typically a striker, the 21-year-old has the physical attributes which suit the fast pace of Premier League forward but he would also be very expensive. Especially as the Nerazzurri tied him down to a six-year deal in September.
