Who Will Win The Race For Alejandro Garnacho? Serie A Giants Table £4.3m Loan Bid

According to the latest Alejandro Garnacho transfer news, a move to Italy’s elite football division appears to be the most likeliest destination for the Chelsea outcast.

AS Roma have reportedly tabled an initial £4.3million loan bid to take the Argentine to the Stadio Olimpico next season. The proposal includes a mandatory option to buy for a fee of around £30m. But only if certain conditions are met.

Garnacho has endured a tough 2025-26 campaign at Stamford Bridge and new manager Xabi Alonso is happy to let the 22-year-old leave. With the Giallorossi seemingly leading the race for the flying winger, who else could try to muscle in? BetVictor News takes a look at five other contenders for Garnacho’s signature.

Alejandro Garnacho Transfer News: Roma Keen On Chelsea Winger

Now that the summer window is officially open, there has been a lot of movement in the football transfer odds markets. AS Roma are now heavily favoured to sign Alejandro Garnacho after it was made clear he had no future at Chelsea. Despite signing for the Blues just 11 months ago for a fee of £40m.

Xabi Alonso doesn’t see Garnacho as part of his plans for the upcoming season and that is where the Giallorossi comes in. Under the stewardship of wily old boss Gian Piero Gasperini, the Atalanta legend is prepared to give the Argentine a new lease of life in Rome.

However, Gasperini is expected to face competition from a number of Serie A rivals. They are expected to include the likes of Como and Napoli. Similar to the Romans, both sides can offer Garnacho Champions League football in 2026-27.

Both sides will be appealing from Garnacho’s perspective as the former can boast Cesc Fabregas as head coach whereas Gli Azzurri have the legendary Massimiliano Allegri in the dugout. Elsewhere, Juventus are also reportedly keen.

Could Alejandro Garnacho Move To The Saudi Pro League?

As tempting as a move to Roma or a fellow Serie A side could be for Alejandro Garnacho, a switch to the riches of the Saudi Pro League can’t be ruled out. Especially as the likes of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and forward Ivan Toney having thrived in the Middle East.

The Al-Ahli ace – who is still on duty with World Cup betting favourites England – has demonstrated that players in their prime can still be recognised at an international level. Something of which Garnacho will crave as his Argentina career has stagnated somewhat.

Away from Saudi, Atletico Madrid have also been rumoured. With legendary boss and compatriot Diego Simeone at the helm, he could well and truly revitalise Garnacho’s career in LaLiga.
