The Australian Open

Novak Djokovic won the 2015 Australian Open and then went on to retain the title in 2016 by brushing aside Roger Federer on his way to the final against Andy Murray. He has now won six Australian Open titles and this was his third Grand Slam in a row taking his overall career Grand Slams to eleven.

Djokovic powered his way to the 2016 Australian Open title in three straight sets against a lacklustre Andy Murray who didn't manage to mount a challenge in the final until the last set. But that was more to do with the incredible form that took Novak Djokovic to win the title as opposed to bad form by Murray.

The final score for the 2016 Australian Open was:

6-1, 7-5 and 7-6

His win sets up an intriguing season and on this form it is hard to see who could challenge him at the big events in 2016.
