From the outset, things appeared pretty straightforward in terms of the runners and riders in this competition, and then Night 9 happened, and the cat was thrown amongst the pigeons. There was a belief that the norm would return on Night 10 in Manchester, but it proved to be another unpredictable evening in many respects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke Littler was dumped out in the quarter-finals in Germany on Night 9, and with Manchester being his home venue, he was looking to get back to winning ways. He managed to overcome his bogeyman Gerwyn Price 6-3, but he was then defeated 6-4 by Luke Humphries in the semi-finals. Littler remains the firm favourite to defend his crown, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betvictor.com\/en-gb\/sports\/22886\/meetings\/619465010\/events\/2388170400?market_group=17367\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Premier League Darts outright betting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The big news from Night 10 was, of course, that Nathan Aspinall was the overall winner. He defeated Rob Cross in the quarters 6-2 and Michael van Gerwen by the same scoreline in the semis. He faced world number one Humphries in the final, who he beat 6-4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Asp\u2019s victory has really shaken things up because he\u2019s now moved into 4<sup>th<\/sup> place, with Van Gerwen falling below the cut-off line. The former world champion has managed to close the gap on leader Luke Littler due to his own performances, such as reaching the final last week and Littler\u2019s slip-ups. A win in Rotterdam could see him move level on points with his rival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation for Chris Dobey is as it has been for a while; he\u2019s not going to make the cut. He\u2019s on 7 points and has only won four matches so far in the competition, with Stephen Bunting the only player to win fewer. He\u2019s playing for pride at this stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019d expect Chris Dobey vs Luke Humphries to go in the favour of the latter. However, Dobey was written off against Littler, and he beat him convincingly in the quarters in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-gerwyn-price-vs-nathan-aspinall\"><strong>Gerwyn Price vs Nathan Aspinall<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three players on 15 points at present in Premier League Darts 2025, and two of them are Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall, who meet in the quarter-finals in Rotterdam. Starting with Price, he\u2019s the only player alongside the two Lukes to have won multiple nights this season, and this has kept him in contention throughout. Price is one of those players who will always be there or thereabouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aspinall\u2019s victory last week saw him move into the top four, and it will give him confidence after already losing in one final. After slowly getting over his dartitis and with his game improving, The Asp looks a real threat. He could really kick on after Manchester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gerwyn Price vs Nathan Aspinall sees Price start as favourite based on what he\u2019s already achieved this year in the Premier League. But Aspinall is in form and comes into this one on a high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-stephen-bunting-vs-michael-van-gerwen\"><strong>Stephen Bunting vs Michael van Gerwen<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s been a very strange Premier League Darts campaign for fan favourite Stephen Bunting so far. After not winning as single match in the competition, he stormed back in Germany and won every game he played to triumph overall on the night. They\u2019re the only three matches he\u2019s won, and he remains bottom of the standings on 5 points. Like Chris Dobey, Bunting isn\u2019t going to make the cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael van Gerwen is the other player alongside Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall on 15 points, and he will be looking to pull away from that small grouping. Van Gerwen is the most successful Premier League player of all time, and he\u2019s won two nights so far. He remains a consistent performer and has been in the top four all season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As expected, Stephen Bunting vs Michael van Gerwen sees MvG start as the odds-on favourite, and while Bunting is a live threat, the Dutchman will really fancy his chances of making the semis in his home country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-luke-littler-vs-rob-cross\"><strong>Luke Littler vs Rob Cross<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke Littler and Rob Cross are two players who will be looking to get back on track this week in Premier League Darts. Littler has won four nights and remains top of the standings, but his lead has been cut to just five points, and Luke Humphries is in striking distance of the defending champion. If Littler can go all the way in Rotterdam, he will take total control once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rob Cross has been in and around the cut-off line all season, but he\u2019s been sat on 12 points for a while, and he now trails the trio of players on 15 points \u2013 Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall and Michael van Gerwen. Littler is expected to win, but when Cross is in form, he\u2019s difficult to stop. Neither can afford a slow start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-draw\"><strong>The Draw<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There could be another heavyweight final in the making on Night 11 of the 2025 Premier League Darts. The top half of the draw sees the winner of Chris Dobey vs Luke Humphries take on the winner of Gerwyn Price vs Nathan Aspinall in the semis, while it\u2019s the winner of Stephen Bunting vs Michael van Gerwen vs the winner of Luke Littler vs Rob Cross in the other semi-final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On current form, you\u2019d expect Humphries to be in the semis, but Price and Aspinall are difficult to split. Van Gerwen and Littler are expected to meet in the other semi-final, which means the final will likely be made up of Humphries, Price or Aspinall, and Van Gerwen or Littler. It\u2019s not only as heavyweight as it gets; it also means the top of the standings and the grouping of the three players on 15 points will be impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s if everything goes as expected.
