Dual C&D winner NO POPPY would ideally prefer some give in the ground, but she goes extremely well at this venue and may prove the best option following a couple of creditable efforts since returning to the fray in April. Manchestar, Ice Slice, Altharoos and Si Senor are others worth considering.

HALLS BRIDGE is on a potentially lenient mark judged on his chase exploits of late, and he may be worth chancing back over timber, with his latest Downpatrick effort a particularly solid effort. Jumptoconclusions also arrives in good nick and rates the leading threat.

CURRENT EVENT was well held in the Foxhunter at Cheltenham but has looked one of the best hunters around aside from that and can notch a fourth win in his last 5 completed starts. His Excellency has won a point since his Towcester third in March and should be capable of getting involved based on his best form. Bound For Glory has a course win to his name this spring and completes the shortlist.
