What’s more your Action Point accumulation in any given month also determines the amount of your Cash Back Bonus so with so much riding on your points it’s worth your while to learn a little more about them.

Earning Action Points

Action Points are accrued for every raked hand or real money tournament played. The amount of Action Points that you earn in any given raked hand or tournament is dependant upon the amount of rake generated or tournament fees paid. Quite simply, the more rake or tournament fees contributed; the more Action Points you will earn.

Action Points in Ring Games

BetVictor Poker uses a weighted contributed rake system where approximately one Action Point is rewarded for each $0.70 which has been contributed in rake by the player (not the total rake contributed).

When a player bets money into the pot, he/she also contributes an amount in rake. The amount of Action Points awarded to the player per hand is based on the player’s contribution into the pot and consequently to the rake. If the player’s rake contribution is less than $0.70 then the player is awarded with partial Action Points. Players that do not contribute any money into the pot are not rewarded with any Action Points

Example:

Game: Texas Holdem $1/2 No Limit

Number of Players: 6

  • Player A bets $1 (small blind) into the pot
  • Player B bets $2 (big blind) into the pot
  • Player C bets $40 into the pot
  • Player D bets $40 into the pot
  • Player E folds
  • Player F folds

The total pot of this hand is $83 and the rake is $3.

Player Pot Contribution Rake Contribution Awarded Action Points
A $1/$83 = 1.2% 0.036 0.051
B $2/$83 = 2.4% 0.072 0.102
C $40/$83 = 48.2% 1.446 2.082
D $40/$83 = 48.2% 1.446 2.082
E $0/$83 = 0.0% 0 0
F $0/$83 = 0.0% 0 0

Action Points in Tournaments

Action Points are also awarded for participation in tournaments. If you participate in a scheduled multi-table tournament or a Sit & Go, you will receive approximately 1 Action Point for each $0.70 paid in tournament fee. Action Points will not be awarded however if Action Points are used to pay for the tournament buy-in cost.
