VC GRAND

Roulette

One of the oldest and most famous casino games. The roulette wheel has 37 separately numbered slots alternately coloured red and black, the "0" is green. The dealer releases a ball into the spinning wheel. The objective is to predict which of the 37 numbers on the wheel the ball will stop on.

To place a bet, select your chip value from the BANK window and then click directly on the area of the table on which you wish to place your bet. Multiple clicks will increase the number of chips you bet. To remove a chip, click the Clear Last button. Or alternatively click Cancel to remove all chips from the table. All bets must be placed before the timer shown in the BANK window runs out.

The dealer will spin the wheel and release the ball. Once the ball has come to rest the dealer will announce the winning number and all bets will be settled automatically. The ball must make at least three revolutions otherwise that spin is void and the ball will be re-spun with the same bets. The timer will then begin counting down to the start of the next game.

There are a number of different bets that you can make in Roulette. These are split into Inside Bets which are bets made onto the numbered section of the table, and Outside Bets which are made on the other areas.

Inside Bets

Straight Up Bet - A bet on an individual number. The simplest roulette bet with the highest payout chance. This bet pays at 35 to 1 plus the original stake.

Split Bet - A two number bet which is placed on the line connecting the two numbers. For example covering 24 and 27. This type of bet pays 17 to 1 plus the original stake.

Corner Bet - A four number bet, placed at the corner of 4 numbers. For example covering 8, 9, 11 and 12. This bet pays 8 to 1 plus the original stake.

Street Bet - A three number bet, placed at the end of a row of numbers. For example covering 13, 14 and 15. A street bet pays 11 to 1 plus the original stake.

Line Bet - A six number bet placed at the junction of two street bets. Covering for example 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and 36. Line bets pay 5 to 1 plus the original stake.

Special Bets - These are a number of multiple bets that are traditional to the game. Each bet covers a different group of numbers. These bets are available through the special bets button. Payouts vary for these bets.

Outside Bets

Column Bet - A 12 number bet, which covers all of the numbers in the corresponding column. This bet pays at 2 to 1 plus the stake.

Dozen Bet - Another 12 number bet. Players can choose from first 12 (covering 1-12), second dozen (covering 13-24) or third dozen (covering 25-36). Again this bet pays 2 to 1 plus original stake.

Colour Bet - An 18 number bet, which covers all the red numbers or all the black numbers. Colour bets pay at 1 to 1 plus original stake.

Even/Odd Bet - An 18 number bet in which the player chooses to bet on any odd number or any even number. This bet pays 1 to 1 plus original stake.

High/Low Bet - Another 18 number bet covering either 1-18 or 19-36. Again this bet pays 1 to 1 plus the original stake.

Please note that any even money bets will be lost if the ball lands on zero.

Game Features

At the bottom of the Roulette screen you will find additional options which may enhance your gaming experience.

Chat - will launch the chat window enabling you to talk to the dealers. This can also be used to contact the supervisor if you need to.

History - Displays the results of the recent spins of the wheel.

Views - Allows you to zoom the camera into different sections of the table.

All of these features are switched off by default. Once launched however all of the windows can be moved or resized to suit your preferences.

Blackjack

The most popular of all casino card games. The aim of the game is to beat the dealer. You do this by making a hand that has a value of closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. You can also win if the dealer's hand goes over 21 (bust). Be careful though because if your hand goes above 21 you will lose automatically. This version of blackjack is played with 8 decks of cards, which you will see the dealer shuffle at regular intervals.

Once the game has loaded you need to choose your seat at the table. Seats are numbered from one to seven. Sit at the table by clicking on any available seat displaying the SIT HERE sign.

To place a bet, select your chip value from the BANK window and then click directly on the table to bet.

Important - In order for your bets to be accepted you need to click the Confirm button in the BANK window before the timer runs out, otherwise your bets will be removed. If a game is already in progress you will need to wait for it to complete before you can play. When the game begins all players will be dealt 2 cards face up, the dealer will also get 2 cards although one will be face down.

Card Value

The cards all take their face value with the exception of any court or picture cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) which all value 10, and Aces which value either 1 or 11 depending on which will give the player the best hand. If the first 2 cards dealt to you total 21 (an Ace and a 10) you have blackjack. Blackjack wins pay 3 to 2 on the player's original stake. Other wins pay at 1 to 1. Each player takes turns to act on his or her hand, starting from the player at the right. When it is your turn to act you will be presented with a number of options:

Stand - You wish to take no further action on your hand.

Hit - You wish to take another card to try to improve the value of your hand. This option can be used multiple times.

Double - You wish to double the amount you have bet on your hand and receive one further card only.

Split - This option is only available if your first 2 cards are of the same value. By choosing this option you will double your bet and receive two more cards. This effectively gives you 2 hands to play. Please note if you split Aces you are only dealt one more card to each hand and cannot hit for extra cards. 21 hit after splitting is not blackjack as the cards are not the first 2 dealt, and therefore only pays 1 to 1. You are not able to split hands more than once.

Once all players have acted the dealer will turn over their face down card. If their hand is valued below 16 they must deal another card. They continue to take cards until their hand is valued at 17 or higher. When the dealer has a hand of between 17 and 21, he will pay all players with a hand closer to 21 than his own. If the player's hand is the same value as the dealer's, the hand is a push or a tie, and the player keeps his stake. If the dealers hand busts all remaining players will be paid.

Insurance - If the dealers face up card is an ace all players are offered an insurance bet. This bet is half the player's stake. In the event that the dealer has blackjack this bet will pay at 2 to 1. If the dealer does not have blackjack the bet is lost and the hands play as normal.

Game Features

If you wish to talk to the dealer or the supervisor you can open the chat window by clicking the button at the bottom of the screen. The window can be moved or re-sized if you wish.

Baccarat

In the game of Baccarat players bet on which of 2 hands, the player’s (Player) or the banker’s (Banker), will be closest in value to 9 or if the hands will be tied (Tie). The game is played with 8 decks of cards, which are shuffled regularly by the dealer.

Card value

Ace = 1

Face cards and tens = 0

All other cards carry the point value stated on the card. If the cards in a hand total more than ten points, simply subtract ten to obtain the baccarat point value of the hand.(Example: 8+8=16, but counts as 6. Jack+7=17, but counts as 7.)

A two-card total of nine is the best hand and is called a "Natural". The second-best hand is a "Natural" 8.

If both the player and banker are dealt identical hands, the game ends in a Tie.

To place a bet, select your chip value from the BANK window and then click directly on the Player, Tie or Banker areas on the table. Once the timer has run down the dealer will begin dealing the cards. If there is a game in progress you will need to wait until it has completed before placing a bet.

The dealer will deal 2 cards for the player’s hand and two for the banker’s hand. If the value of either hand is 8 or 9 (a natural) the hand is complete and no further cards are dealt. Otherwise cards are dealt by the third card rules below.

The Player’s hand - Depending on the point value of the first two cards, the following actions will take place (Third card rule):

VICTOR'S PALACE

ROULETTE

Game Overview

The game of Roulette is played by spinning a small ball on a round wheel with thirty-seven numbered slots. When the wheel stops, the ball comes to rest in one of these slots. The object of Roulette is to correctly predict the slot in which the ball will land. By predicting the right number, you earn a payoff on your bet. The size of the payoff depends on the nature of the bet placed.

How to Play

Select the amount you would like to wager on a given spin by clicking the left mouse button on a chip, and dragging it and dropping it on the appropriate betting fields of the gaming table. To specify a bet that does not equal to an existing chip denomination, simply click on another chip denomination after placing your previous chip on the table. For example, to bet $30, click and drag the $25 chip and place it on the table, then click and drag the $5 chip and drop it on top of the $25 chip. Your total bet will be displayed in the 'Current Bet' window. You may repeat your last bet by clicking on the 'Last Bet' button. You MUST click the 'Place Bet' button after you've finished dragging and dropping chips for the bets to be registered and valid. If you place a wager that is lower than the minimum table bet limit, or higher than the table maximum, your bet amount will automatically be rejected by our servers.

You can place many different kinds of bets on the Roulette table. Each type of bet covers a certain range of numbers, and each type has its own payoff rate. The short lines of three numbers each are called rows on the board, while the longer lines, each holding twelve, are called columns. The first five types of bets are all made on the numbered space or on the lines between them and are called inside bets, while the last three types are made on the special boxes below and to the left of the board and are called outside bets. The different types and payoffs for each bet type are summarized below:

Bet Type               Explanation

Straight Up:           Place your chips directly on any single number (including zero).

Split Bet:               Place your chips on the line between any two numbers (excluding zero).

Street Bet:             Place your chips at the end of any row of numbers. A street bet covers three numbers.

Corner Bet:            Place your chips at the corner where four numbers meet. All four numbers are covered.

Line Bet:                Place your chips at the end of two rows on the intersection between them. A line bet covers all the numbers in both rows, for a total of six numbers.

Column Bet:           Placing a chip in one of the boxes marked '2 to 1' at the end of the columns covers all the numbers in that column, for a total of twelve numbers. (The zero is not covered by any of the columns).

Dozen Bet:             Placing a chip in one of the three boxes marked '1st 12,' '2nd 12,' or '3rd 12' covers those twelve numbers in the sequence of numbers  1 to 36

Red/Black,

Even/Odd,

1 to 18,

19 to 36:               A chip placed in one of these six boxes on the board covers the 18 numbers on the board as described in that box. (The zero is not covered by any of these boxes.) Each box covers eighteen numbers.

Once a spin is complete, the winning number will be noted on the table with a highlighted colour.

PLEASE NOTE:

Players must follow the betting limits as indicated by Management in the help section. The maximum you can win on your bet will be determined by the maximum bet allowed.

In other words, if your bet exceeds the maximum allowed for that bet, you will only win up to the amount of the highest permitted bet. Any amount past that maximum, will not be considered as having been wagered and you will be refunded the difference (amount wagered - maximum allowed bet), if you win that hand. If you lose that hand, you lose the entire amount wagered and receive no refund.

You may chat with others at the table by typing a message in the white bar and pressing Send. Your message and the messages of others will appear in the top part of the game window.

BLACKJACK

The Object of the Game:

The object is achieve a higher card count than the croupier without exceeding a count of 21.

The Bets:

Select the seat and the amount you would like to wager on a hand. You MUST click the 'Place Bet' button after you've finished dragging and dropping chips for the bets to be registered and valid. After each player has pressed the 'Place Bet' button and/or the betting time period has expired.

The Play:

Beginning on the croupier's left, a card is dealt face up to each player in turn with the croupier being last in rotation. A second card is then dealt in the same manner, face up to each player; the croupier gets a hidden card.

Once all initial cards are dealt, each player gets a turn to improve their counts. The order of the turns is the same as the order the cards were dealt. During your turn, you have the option of standing or hitting (drawing) one or more cards to improve your count.Once you stand, your turn is over. If you exceed a count of 21, this is called a bust, and you lose your bet immediately; otherwise, your bet remains unresolved. If you initial count (with two cards) is 21, this is called a Blackjack.

You are not allowed to draw to (hit on) a Blackjack. If there is no possibility that the croupier also has a Blackjack (that is, the croupier's card is neither a face card, a Ten, nor an Ace), then you win your bet immediately upon the start of your turn, and your bet is paid off at 3 to 2. If there is a possibility that the croupier also has a Blackjack, the resolution of your bet is delayed until the croupier's final count is established.

After all players have had a turn, the croupier open the hidden card, then stands or draws as appropriate, according to the house strategy. If the croupier exceeds a count of 21, she busts, and all unresolved bets are winners.

If she stands without busting, each player's count is then compared to the croupier's. If your count is closer to 21 than the croupier's, you win. If the croupier's is closer, you lose. If you and the croupier tie, the bet is a push (a standoff), which means you neither win your bet nor lose it. Once all bets have been resolved, the croupier announces the beginning of the next betting period.

The Cards:

Face cards (Jacks, Queens, and Kings) are worth 10, while Aces are worth 1 or 11. After a player has stood, a hand containing one or more Aces is considered to be at its highest possible value without exceeding 21.

Player Options:

After the first two cards are dealt, each player gets an opportunity to improve their counts. They may also alter their wagers in the following ways:

Splitting Pairs:

Pairs, two cards of equal value, may be split into two separate hands, each with a bet equal to the original bet amount. If you split your hand, the second card, for both subhands, are dealt automatically (immediately) by the system after the split is done, and you are permitted to stand or hit one or more cards to improve the count. Once you stand on your first subhand, your second subhand is dealt a second card, and you are then permitted to stand or hit on that hand.

Split aces are an exceptional case. When you split a pair of Aces, each subhand receives exactly one additional card with no option to you to hit. Further, a count of 21 with the two cards in a subhand of split Aces is not consider blackjack, and will lost to a croupier's Blackjack.

Subhands may not be resplit.

Doubling Down:

After the first two cards are dealt, you have the option to double down, which means you wager an additional amount equal to your original bet and receive exactly one more card on that hand. However, you aren't allowed double down after splitting a pair.

Insurance:

If the croupier's up card is an Ace, you may obtain insurance, which is a wager of a sum equal to one half of your original bet. If the croupier draws a Blackjack, the insurance pays two to one. If the croupier fails to draw a Blackjack, you lose your insurance. You may obtain insurance even if you have Blackjack.

The House Strategy:

Unlike the players, the house has no choice in whether it hits or stands its hand. The house must:

• Hit on a count of 16 or less

• Stand on 17 or more

A soft hand is a hand in which an Ace may be counted as either 1 or 11 without the count exceeding 21. A hard hand is a hand in which all Aces may only be counted as 1 each to avoid the count exceeding 21.

* If there are any mistakes between hands, we will push the hand.

Payouts:

A Blackjack, a two-card 21 not arising on split Aces, is paid at three to two as long as the croupier does not also have a Blackjack. If both you and the croupier have a Blackjack, the bet is a push. A Blackjack beats any three-or-more-card 21.

All other winning bets are paid at one to one.

A croupier/ player tie is a push, and neither wins nor loses.

You bust and lose your bet with a card count exceeding 21.

BACCARAT

Game Overview:

Two hands are dealt in Baccarat - The Banker's hand and the Player's hand. Prior to each deal, the player wagers on whether the Player's hand or the Banker's hand will be closest to a total of 9. The player also has the option to wager on a tie (i.e. both the banker's and player's hands total the same). 8 decks of 52 cards are used.

How to Play:

Select the amount you would like to wager on a given hand by clicking the left mouse button on a chip and dragging it and dropping it on the 'Player' 'Banker' or 'Tie' sections of the gaming table.

After each player has pressed the 'Place Bet' button and/or the betting time period has expired, the Player and Banker are dealt two cards. All tens and picture cards are worth zero, aces are worth 1, and all other cards are worth their face value. If the value of cards exceeds 9, then the value is adjusted by subtracting 10 from the total.

Example:

Hand                           Hand Total

9+7=16                        6

5+5+5=15                   5

10+9=19                      'Natural' 9

After the first two cards are dealt to both the Player and Banker, a third additional card may be dealt but the player does not ask for a third card. All additional cards are subject to a 'Third Card Rule'. No hand receives more than three cards. When the Player and Banker hands equal the same total, the hand is declared a Tie and all bets (other than Tie bets) for that game are voided. If the value of the cards in either the Player's Hand or the Banker's Hand is an 8 or a 9 (a 'natural') after receiving their initial two cards then no more cards shall be dealt to either hand. If the value of the cards in either hand on the first two cards is 0 to 7 inclusive, the hands shall draw in accordance with the 'Third Card Rules'.

Third Card Rules:

If the Player's two cards total:

Player's Hand Draw

0-5                               Player's hand must draw

6-7                               Player's hand must stand

8-9                               'Natural' (Both hands stand)

If the Banker's two cards total:

Banker's Hand Draw

0-2                               Banker's hand must draw

3-6                               Third card to Player's hand determines draw or stand

7                                        Banker's hand must stand

8-9                         'Natural' (Both hands stand)

When the Banker's third card decision depends on the third card drawn by the Player, the following rules apply:

Banker's Hand                        Banker's hand draws when                    Banker's hand does not draw when

Player's third card is:                                    Player's third card is:

5                                                       4-5-6-7                                                  0-1-2-3-8-9

6                                                          6-7                                                  0-1-2-3-4-5-8-9

7                                           Banker's hand must stand                           Banker's hand must stand

8-9                                          'Natural' - Bank stands                                 'Natural' - Bank stands

If the Player's hand stands on two cards (6,7), then a two card Banker hand totaling 3,4,5 must draw and a Banker hand totaling 6 must stand.

Baccarat Pair:

To win the bet on Baccarat Pair, first 2 cards dealt to Banker must be a pair, to win the bet on Player Pair, first 2 cards dealt to Player must be a pair.

Payoffs:

Wager and Result                               Payoff

ROULETTE

Real Deal Roulette Information & Game Rules

In Roulette players choose to place bets on either a number, a range of numbers, the colours red or black, or whether the number is odd or even. To determine the winning number and colour, a croupier spins a wheel in one direction, then spins a ball in the opposite direction around a tilted circular track running around the circumference of the wheel. The ball eventually falls on to the wheel and into one of 37 coloured and numbered pockets on the wheel.

Roulette permits many types of bets. These include:

Straight-up: a single number bet. The chip is placed entirely on the middle of a number square.

Split: a bet on two adjoining numbers, either on the vertical or horizontal (as in 14-17 or 8-9). The chip is placed on the line between these numbers.

Street: a bet on three numbers on a single vertical line. The chip is placed on the edge of the line of a number at the end of the line (as in 1, 2, 3).

BLACKJACK

Euro Blackjack is one of the most popular casino card games of all.

The aim of the game is to add the value of your cards to get as close to 21 as possible, without exceeding it. Cards in Blackjack are worth their face value, with the exception of Kings, Queens and Jacks, which are worth 10, and Aces which are worth either 1 or 11.

Note

Your winnings will be credited to your account immediately.

You will lose your stake amount if you lose the game.

How to play

Select your stake by clicking on a chip with a suitable value upon it from the bottom of the screen. The chip will rise and the edge of the chip will rotate, indicating that it has been selected for betting. Click on the table betting area (highlighted circles) to place a bet at the value of the chip selected. If desired, each additional click will add one unit of the chip value selected to the bet.

Click on a different chip at the bottom of the screen to change the chip value for betting. It is possible to mix chip values on the same bet. The total currency value is displayed in the stake field at the top of the game. Hover the mouse over the bets to display the values staked on each hand.

The following buttons are now available:

Click the Clear All button to remove all chips from the table. You can change your stake at this stage and select new chip values.

Click the Double Bets button to double the value of your stakes. You can keep doubling your bets as long as you have sufficient funds.

Click the Undo button to undo the last action.

Click the Deal button to start the game.

The cards are dealt from the shoe on the right of the screen. Two cards will be dealt to each hand you are playing and one card to the dealer. The dealer's card is placed face up (the 'upcard'), showing its value. If the dealer's upcard is an Ace, you have the option of taking insurance for each hand - this is explained below. Your cards are placed face up. Each of your hands is played one at time from the right. An arrow indicator shows which hand is being played.

The value of your first hand will appear above the cards. If you have Blackjack (21) on your first hand, the game will automatically stick that hand and move directly to your next hand.

If you do not have 21, you can either take more cards ('hit') or remain at your current total ('stand'). Should you decide to continue to take more cards, click the Hit button until you have either gone over 21 ('bust') or you wish to retain your card total and call a 'stand'(i.e. click the Stand button. Depending upon your card values, you may also be offered options to 'Double'or 'Split' your hand. These options and others are discussed in more detail in the 'Special Plays' section.

Should you decide to 'Stand', the dealer will then be dealt their second card. Whether the dealer can now draw any more cards depends on the total of their hand. If the dealer has fewer than 17, they must draw another card. If the dealer's hand equals 17 or over, they may not draw any more cards.

6. The dealer will continue to draw cards until the card value goes beyond 17, the dealer may go 'bust' should the next draw prove higher than 21, otherwise the players' cards and the dealers' will be compared to determine a winner.

Winning or losing the game

If the dealer busts, you win the game.

If any of your hands bust, the hand is placed on the table and you immediately lose the bet for that hand.

If any of your hands are higher than the dealers, without going over 21, you win the bet for that hand.

If the dealer's hand is higher than any of yours, without going over 21, the dealer wins the bet for that hand.

If both your hand and the dealer's hand are the same (a 'push'), your stake is returned to you and the game ends.

If your winning hand is a split hand, you win evens on your original stake. Blackjack cannot be called on a winning hand that has split.

The highest possible hand is a Blackjack, meaning an initial two-card total of 21 (an Ace and a ten-value card). If the dealer has a Blackjack and the player has a total of 21 with more than two cards, the dealer wins.

Rebetting

Click the Rebet + Deal button to repeat the last bet with the same number of hands and the same stakes AND deal the cards. Note: This action cannot be undone when selected.

Click the Rebet button to repeat the last bet with the same number of hands and the same stakes WITHOUT dealing the cards. You may want to alter the stakes at this stage. Note: This action cannot be undone when selected.

Click the Rebet x 2 + Deal button to repeat the last bet with the same number of hands and DOUBLE the stakes AND deal the cards. Note: This action cannot be undone when selected.

Click the New Game button to clear all bets and start a new game.

Rules

The dealer must stand on a hard 17 and soft 17.

Allow a split on equal value cards

The player may double on the first hand consisting of two cards with a total card value of 9,10 or 11.

The player may double after a split.

Blackjack cannot be called on a split hand.

The player may not hit after a Double.

The player may not hit on split Aces.

Splitting is only allowed once for each hand at the start of the game.

The player may not take a Surrender or late Surrender on any number cards.

8 decks of cards, re-shuffled after each round.

Special plays

Special plays will appear as buttons during the course of the game, when you have the option to play them on any of your hands. The rules that govern these special plays are as follows:

Insurance

If the dealer's upcard is an Ace, you are given the option of insurance. You will be offered an option to accept or reject insurance for the each hand.

Click the Insure button to insure each individual hand.

Click the Skip Hand button to reject insurance on a hand.

Click the Insure All to insure all hands.

Click the Skip All button to reject insurance on all hands.

Insurance is effectively a side-bet of half the amount of your original stake, paid at 2:1. This means that if the dealer has a natural 21 or Blackjack, you lose your original bet (plus any double or split bet stakes), but win 2 to 1, i.e. you win back three times the insurance bet value (equivalent to winning the insurance plus your original stake), thereby limiting your loss to just the stakes placed to double or split your hand. The insurance bet is resolved and paid at the end of the game.

Note: No Insurance will be offered if you have Blackjack.

Split

If your first two cards are of identical value, you may split them and place an additional bet (equal to your original bet) to play two hands instead of one. Each of the cards then becomes the start of a new hand. Splitting is only allowed once for each hand at the start of the game. No further split (resplitting) can be carried out.

If either of your hands beat the dealer, you are paid evens on your original stake. If you split a hand, Blackjack (3:2) cannot be called on that hand - a winning hand in this situation will be paid at evens.

When splitting two Aces, only one further card can be drawn for each hand in the split.

In order to identify which hand is to be played an arrow hovers above the active hand.

Double Down

This option enables you to double your bet and receive just one more card, forfeiting the opportunity to hit further.

In this version of Blackjack you may choose to select the Double option/button whilst playing a hand on your first two cards with a total value of 9,10 or 11.

Note: the above values may be otherwise defined by the operator.

You may not hit and double-down to split Aces.

Tip: 'Doubling', or 'Double-down' is most effective when you have an edge on the dealer, for example, when the dealer's hand shows a weak or low card like a Four, Five or Six.

Two Aces

Unlike some other variants of Blackjack, if your first two cards are Aces, you do not win the hand. Instead, it forms a total hand of either 12 or 2 with the option to split them, but only once.

Soft

This is displayed alongside an Ace card when your hand is low enough for the Ace card to be assigned its higher value of 11 without going bust. For instance, where an Ace is the first or second card to be drawn. You can always draw at least one card to a soft hand without busting.

No Surrender / Rescue

The game does not allow a player to Surrender or Rescue their hand. Surrender/Rescue means giving up half the bet for the privilege of not playing out a Weak hand.

Peek

The dealer is allowed to peek for Blackjack. This is where the dealer 'peeks' at their hole (hidden) card for Blackjack (21) if their upcard is a ten value card.

No Respiltting

You may only split your hand once, at the start of the game, if your first two cards are identical in value. No further split (resplitting) is allowed.

Game results

After you have finalised your hand, the dealer will then finalise theirs. The results of the game are clearly displayed by each hand and any winnings are displayed in the Paid field in the top bar.

BACCARAT

Real Deal Baccarat - Information & Game Rules

Baccarat is a simple game with only three possible results - 'Player', 'Banker' and 'Tie'. The term 'Player' does not refer to the customer and the term 'Banker' does not refer to the house. They are just options on which the customer can bet.

The object of Baccarat is to predict the result of a card game between [Player] and [Banker]. You bet to back the [Player], [Banker] or a [Tie] and depending on the results of the cards if you backed a winner your bets will be paid out. Winnings will be dependent on the size of your bet and what result was bet upon.

How to play

Select your stake by clicking on a chip with a suitable value upon it from the bottom of the screen. The chip will rise and the edge of the chip will rotate, indicating that it has been selected for betting. Click on the table betting area (highlighted areas) to place a bet at the value of the chip selected.

Two cards will be dealt to the Player and The Banker, face up. The value of the hands will appear next to the cards.

There is no need for any player interaction for a game to be finalised - after selecting the deal button the game is fully automatic.

If the first two cards of either hand total 8 or 9, the hand is declared a 'natural' and both hands stand. If only one hand has a natural, it automatically wins. If both hands are naturals and of the same value, the hands tie, else the hand with a total of 9 wins over the hand with the total of 8. No further cards will be drawn, without exception.

Without any interaction a third card may then be dealt to the Player or the Banker or both, this third card is subject to a number of rules, as follows:

If both hands are not standing then the Players total is considered. If the Players total is five or less then the Player's hand will receive an additional card.

If the Player's hand stood and did not receive an additional card (i.e. if it was a total of 6 or of 7) then the Banker's hand will only receive an additional card if its value is five or less.

If the Player's hand received a third card then the Bankers hand will only receive a third card under the following conditions:

If the Player drew a 0 or 1, the Banker draws if he has 0-3, and stands if he has 4-7.

If the Player drew a 2 or 3, the Banker draws if he has 0-4, and stands if he has 5-7.

If the Player drew a 4 or 5, the Banker draws if he has 0-5, and stands if he has 6 or 7.

If the Player drew a 6 or 7, the Banker draws if he has 0-6, and stands if he has 7.

If the Player drew an 8, the Banker draws if he has 0-2, and stands if he has 3-7.

If the Player drew an 9, the Banker draws if he has 0-3, and stands if he has 4-7.

With all cards played the scores of the two hands are compared.

Winning or losing the game

If the bet has been placed on the Player and the Player has a greater score than the Banker then you win and will be paid evens.

If the bet has been placed on a Tie and both scores are equal then you win and will be paid 8:1.

If the bet has been placed on the Banker and the Banker has a greater score than the Player then you win and will be paid 19:20 (5% commission).

All other bets you immediately lose the game, plus your bet.

Valuation of hands

In Baccarat, cards 2-9 are worth face value, 10s and face cards (J, Q, K) are worth zero, and Aces are worth 1 point. Players calculate their score by taking the sum of all cards modulo 10, meaning that after adding the value of the cards the tens digit is ignored. For example, a hand consisting of 2 and 3 is worth 5 (2 + 3 = 5). A hand consisting of 6 and 7 is worth 3 (6 + 7 = 13 = 3) - the first digit is dropped because the total is higher than 9. A hand consisting of 4 and 6 is worth zero, or Baccarat (4 + 6 = 10 = 0). The name "Baccarat" is unusual in that the game is named after the worst hand, worth 0. The highest score that can be achieved is 9 (from a 4 and 5, 10 and 9, or A and 8, etc).
