Goooal
Goooal Information & Game Rules
Play is divided into 2 halves, regular game play and bonus game play. The object of the regular play is to get winning reel combinations but also to score goals and predict the winner.
Players can bet between 1 and 5 coins on each of the 3 pay lines, for a maximum of 15 coins per spin.
Sequence of Action
When the player first starts the game, they select how much they want each credit to be worth from the displayed options. This amount can be set in the game profile, so the player won't see any options, and the amount that each credit is worth will be displayed in the Credit Value field of the game window. If the player is able to select the credit value, and wants to change it after they have been playing, they can close the game window and re-open it to bring up the options again.
Next, the player has the choice of Red or Blue as being the eventual winner. The player clicks on the jersey of the team they predict will win. They can change their selection as often as they wish before the 3rd goal is scored during regular play.
There are three paylines that the player can bet on, indicated by the footballs on either side of the reels. On the main game screen, the player selects the pay lines to wager on by clicking on the football beside each pay line. Every time the player clicks a football, another credit is added to that line, until it reaches 5, and then it returns to 1 again. The Clear button sets all bets back to 0. The player can also bet 1 credit at a time on all 3 lines at once by clicking the Bet Three button, or 5 credits on each line by clicking Bet Max. The bet amount will be shown in the Bets display.
Press the Spin button to spin the reels.
Players win by getting matching symbols along any paylines that they have bet on. The symbols must have the same kick (i.e., the same number) and be the same colour in order to be considered matching. All winning patterns for regular play begin with a symbol on the left-most reel, and continue left to right, along the pay line. There are 4 different symbols in each colour.
NOTE: The symbols must be beside each other with no other symbols in between them in order to win.

Payout amounts vary depending on a) what the symbol is b) how many symbols are in a row, 3, 4, or 5 (or in the case of the Scissor Kick (4) symbol, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 symbols. I.e., the player can win with just 1 Scissor Kick symbol as long as it is on the left-most reel). With a single pull, the player can win across 1, 2 or 3 lines simultaneously. The GOOOAL! symbol is a wild card symbol, and becomes the 5th symbol on a pay line when any 4 matching symbols occupy the first 4 reels. The GOOOAL! symbol can complete combinations of symbols in either colour.
Getting Goals
Each symbol is assigned a number that determines how many points you get if you get a goal with that symbol. You score goals by getting the GOOOAL! symbol on the 5th reel (the reel on the very right). The goal is worth the number of the reel symbol on the 4th reel which is on the same line as the GOOOAL! symbol. In the picture below, the player has bet 5 credits, and the goal is worth 4 points. The goal is for the Red team because the 4th reel symbol is red. GOOOAL! symbols themselves are neutral. Each goal scored and the amount it's worth is kept on the scoreboard on the top of the game screen. Scoring the 3rd goal triggers the bonus round.
Bonus Play
After the bonus symbol is hit for the third time, it triggers a bonus round. This round determines which team will win, or if a tie will occur. In the bonus round the player clicks on balls which are either goals (indicated by a check mark) or misses (indicated with an X) for Red or Blue. When a whistle symbol and the Match Over symbol is revealed, the round ends and the payout is calculated, according to which team won and how many goals were scored. In the picture below, 2 goals were scored for Blue in the regular game, and 1 for Red, and now they have both gotten two goals each in the bonus round. Blue is “Your Team†because that’s who was picked to win during regular play.
The maximum number of goals that can be scored is 14. Three were already determined during regular play and are carried into the bonus round. In the bonus round, the player picks from 11 remaining spots to determine a Win, Lose or Tie result. Sometimes the player may not need to uncover all the squares to determine the outcome. For example, if the player went into the bonus round with 2 Blue picks already, and the next 6 picks are all Blue, Blue would have a total of 8 out of a possible 14, meaning that Red could only get 6. When rounds are determined early, the Win or Loss is declared and the remaining picks are revealed automatically.
Team Pick
As mentioned above, the player can make a prediction as to which team will win, and change it at any time up until the 3rd goal is scored and the bonus round begins. The player gets a 2x bonus if they pick the winning team, or 3x if it's a tie (the player can't actually bet on ties). If the team the player picked loses, the player still wins the amount of the other bonus multipliers, i.e., 1x.
Bonus Credits
The number of bonus credits won is determined by Bonus Points x Team Pick. Bonus Points are determined by Coins Played x Goal Points, as explained below.
- Coins Played: Determined in regular play, the number of coins played on the pay lines that scored each of the 3 goals (between 1 and 15 for each goal scored, for a maximum of 45 coins).
- Point Bonus: Determined in regular play, the combined value of each of the 3 goals scored, up to a maximum of 12 points. Goal values are Scissor Kicks(4), Lobs(3), Headers(2), Penalty Kicks(1). So if goals were scored worth 4, 2, and 3, the Point Bonus would be worth 9.
- Team Pick: 2x bonus if the player picka the winning team, 3x for a tie or 1x if the selected team loses.
The long term, average expected RTP is 95.00%. System malfunction voids all pays and play.
